Board of Studies does the revision and makes the changes in
syllabi, which is then approved by Faculty Council, Academic
Council and endorsed by Board of Management respectively.
This is University‟s first academic session and all curriculum and
syllabi are newly adopted.

University follows a transparent system of examinations.
External experts are invited wherever considered necessary. After
the answer scripts have been evaluated, they are made available
to the students. Clarifications, if needed, are given wherever
required.

Not applicable, as this is the first year of the University, that has
been started in August 2013.

Yes, the University follows a continuous internal evaluation
system. It comprises of class tests, live projects, case studies,
presentations, quizzes, debates, assignments and two mid-term
tests during each semester/ trimester.
5.11 How are the question papers set to ensure the achievement of the course objectives?
The question papers are set by Internal Faculty Members and to
ensure confidentiality and proper coverage of Syllabus, two
teachers are entrusted to set the question papers, independently.
Further, a moderation board has been constituted with external
experts to ensure that the paper has been set to achieve the course
objective.

University Policy for the constitution of board of question paper
setters, board of examiners and invigilators are as follows:
The University has a “Board of Examinations” under the
chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor.
Regulations framed by the Board of Examinations have been
placed before Academic Council for approval.
Paper setters are appointed from within the University as
well as from outside. Papers are duly moderated by a board
of moderation consisting of one external expert on the
subject.
University follows system of central evaluation for both Mid
Term Examinations and End Term Examinations.
Invigilators are appointed from amongst the faculty
members of the University with a condition that there are at
least two faculties in each room.
Besides, there is a Flying Squad for every Examination of
the University to check even a single act of unfair means.

the Act and the Statutes:

The first session of IMS Unison University has started from 2013-14 onwards, therefore, the details of meetings held in the past six months are enclosed at Annexures-IV (A to G) for Board of
Studies, Faculty Council, Academic Council and Board of
Management and at Annexure – IV (H to K) for Board of
Governors, Finance Committee, Board of Research and Board
of Examinations respectively along with the attested copy of the minutes of the meetings.
11.3
What percentage of the members of the Boards of Studies, or such other academic committees, are external? Enclose the guidelines for BOS or such other Committees.
16 - 25 % of the total members are external in Board of Studies, and
26% of the total members are external in Academic Council.

11.4
Are there other strategies to review academic programmes besides the academic council? If yes, give details about what, when and how often are such reviews made?
The Academic Council of the University reviews the academic programs. However strategies are being devised to review academic programs regularly. Due representation of experts from Industry, Research organizations and practicing professionals in the various Boards of Studies, Faculty and Academic Council is being ensured by the University.
