Universal N95 / Eye Protection – Tier 2 PPE All staff in Tier 3 PPE • Bypass holding bay • Anaesthetic trolley remains in OT • No room rest time applies unless GA – note, operation can start if all staff are in Tier 3 PPE. • +/- COVID staffing • Obstetric time out must state the COVID pathway to inform neonatal care • Recover in theatre For patients at higher risk for COVID-19 Patients: SCOVID (Low Risk), OR SCOVID (High Risk), OR COVID Positive Full COVID Precautions - Tier 3 PPE NO COVID symptoms AND NO COVID epidemiology OR A cleared case NON-COVID SCOVID (Low Risk) COVID symptoms WITHOUT Epidemiological risk factors i.e., Symptoms and not cleared SCOVID (High Risk) In quarantine for any reason OR COVID symptoms WITH Epidemiological risk factors All staff in N95 with face shield and either gown or apron • No COVID staffing. • Obstetric “Time Out” must state the COVID pathway to inform neonatal care • Recover in PACU M For patients at reduced risk for COVID-19 Patients: Non-COVID (no symptoms/epidemiology with a negative test result) Recover in PACU Leave ward In theatre G G Arrive in OT Partner / Support person present M Leave ward In theatre Arrive in OT Partner / Support person: • Partners are permitted in theatre (unless GA). They must be asymptomatic and have tested negative. They should wear a surgical mask, gown, overshoes, and hat. Partner / Support person: • Partners are not permitted in theatre for SCOVID (High Risk) and COVID-positive cases. COVID-Positive Positive COVID Test Recover in OT A "CODE GREEN" caesarean can occur in a Non-COVID patient with Non-COVID precautions. If a SCOVID patient requires time critical intervention in theatre, DO NOT "prepare" theatre in any manner that may delay patient care. They will be referred to as a Category 1 SCOVID and placed into a SCOVID theatre, or if unavailable, another available theatre, and be managed with COVID precautions. “CODE GREEN C/S” vs “CATEGORY 1 SCOVID” Test pending (Emergency)?
