Pre-‐activity

Take  2-‐3  minutes  to  brieZly  summarize  one  concept,  term,  or  theory  that  you  will  present  to  students  in  the  course  you’re  working  on  for  the  Teaching  Innovations  Academy.

Three  Universal  Design  Principles-‐Recognition

There  are  three  basic  universal  design  for  learning  principles  based  on  the  three  major  brain  networks  utilized  in  the  learning

process

1.  Provide  multiple  representations  of  information    (recognition-‐  content/subject

matter)

Think-‐Pair-‐Share  (5-‐7  minutes)  Think  of  the  concept,  term,  or  theory  that  you  will  present  to  students  in  the  class  you’re  working  on  for  the  Academy.  How  could  you  present  that  to  your  students?

learning)

Think-‐Pair-‐Share    (5-‐7  minutes)  Think  of  the  initial  concept,  term,  theory  that  you  will  present  to  students  in  the  class  you’re  working  on  for  the  Academy.    How  can  you  get  students  more  engaged?
