Representation Information needs to be presented in multiple ways in order to provide options for perception, labeling, and comprehension Example: kids can learn about recycling in an auditory way through a song like this 3. Expression Information should be learned through different modes provides students options with physical action, options for expressing themselves especially with new media, and options to start executive functions like setting goals. 4. Engagement Getting students engaged is tough, but keeping them engaged is even harder. Teachers have to strive to use a curriculum kids are excited about, will stay excited about, and be able to self regulate their learning. PRESS PLAY 5. With these ideas When kids cannot learn from regular curriculum, they are no longer assumed to have disabilities or be slow learners; instead the curriculum has a disability. Teachers must present directions carefully to make groups without making some kids feel left out or less Teachers need to design lessons to nurture interactions with students at all levels. 6.
