Greetings from your Vitality Team! We are very excited to share a little of what we have been doing, as well as share some ways for you to join us on the Vitality pathway!! We have met several times and are ready to take our next steps forward. There are 8 functions required of the Vitality team. The first was the Veritas workshop, which has been completed thanks to many of you! We now have a leader for each of the next 5 functions, which are an essential part of this Vitality process and your help is needed once again.
Over the next several weeks, we will be having a "Vitality Moment" at the beginning of each worship service. Each leader will have time to better describe the function they are leading and the type of congregational involvement that is needed.
God has given each one of us gifts to serve. Please begin praying now. Pray with an open heart and open mind that the Holy Spirit will reveal to you which function(s) would be best served by your gifts. Here is a list of the 5 functions to help direct your prayers. Please contact the leader if you’d like to join a team or have any questions.
Establish a Process of Pervasive Prayer (Julie Gage): To bathe the Vitality process in prayer; assuring we constantly seek the Holy Spirit for Guidance, Protection, Vision and Discernment.
Initiate the Behavioral/Relational Covenant (Mike Harrison-Haefner and Steve LaWarre): To communicate a model for conversations that are civil, compassionate, and Christ honoring. These are the Holy Manners for our faith community.
Find Your Biblical Story (Dean Gage): To discern Saranac Community Church’s Biblical story which resembles how God is at work in our congregation, and use that as a reference/narrative to help us understand what God is doing among us in order to keep moving forward.
Learn from History (Terri McCready): To unlock radical life-giving stories from the archives of our church and identify missed opportunity from our history too. These stories will encourage people to keep moving forward boldly into God's future.
Communication (Sarah Bush): To keep everyone up to date with the work of the Vitality team.
Reminder: EPIC workshop on Saturday, February 25th
