The MMB Provides a Small, Lightweight, Portable Radar Transponder Beacon for Hand Emplacement and Orientation. It Is Used for Enroute Navigation and Drop Zone Marking.
To Date, 447 MMBs Have Been Bought and 360 Have Been Fielded by SOCOM.
The Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity Type Contract Has a Ceiling of $18.7 Million.

The U.S. Army Has Purchased10,000 Systems for Use inSupport of Operation EnduringFreedom, As Well As the New Stryker Brigade in Alaska. SOCOM Has Purchased an Additional 3,000 Systems.
These Color Night Vision Goggles Provide Improved Target Acquisition / Identification Capabilities During Periods of Darkness, and Increase Situational Awareness / Operational Safety Under Adverse Weather Conditions.
U.S. Law Enforcement and other government agencies have expressed interest in the advanced capabilities of this project.
