How do I Attract Veterans?Be a HireVetsFirst Employer.

Place the HVF logo on recruiting announcements, etc. That tells vets that you’re serious about bringing qualified veterans into your workforce.

List your jobs with the One Stop Career System in your State. Talk with a veterans representative about your specific needs and recruiting goals and ask for help.

Get your occupations approved for VA OJT and Apprenticeship. Your starting

wage PLUS a VA stipend with a starting range from $548.25 to

$1030.20/month for an eligible service member will attract them to your jobs.

Be Guard/Reserves Friendly!Today, many young men and women are

choosing to serve the nation through the various Reserve Components, and a large number of transitioning (from active duty) service members are choosing to “stay Army,” or “stay Navy,” etc. by continuing their service, and their training, through the Reserves. As corporate citizens, we must adopt policies that support non-career service in the uniformed services.
