Together with our partners, we successfully campaigned for TB to be recognized in the G20 Heads of State and Ministers of Health Declaration in 2017, the first time TB has been recognized by the G20. The Stop TB Partnership led the campaign for governments to hold a UN High-Level Meeting (HLM) on TB. Dr. Motsoaledi

as Chair of the Stop TB Partnership Board and Minister of Health, South Africa first called for an HLM on TB at the UN General

Assembly in 2016. Together with our partners, we successfully campaigned for TB to be recognized in the G20 Heads of State

and Ministers of Health Declaration in 2017, the first time TB has been recognized by the G20. We unite and empower people

affected by TB, civil society, and communities by giving them a voice, platforms, and visibility. We coordinate the annual World

TB Day on 24th March to raise awareness about the burden of TB globally. The Global Plan to End TB 2016-2020 and the 90/90/90 TB targets, widely endorsed by Heads of State and

Health Ministers, drive our work to put TB higher on the political agenda, mobilize resources, and create a paradigm shift in the

global TB movement.

STRENGTHENING COMMUNITIES

People affected by TB and communities must be at the heart of all efforts to end TB.

Stop TB works in the following areas: Supporting community engagement through the Challenge Facility for Civil Society

on human rights, gender sensitive interventions and increasing access to key underserved and vulnerable populations to quality TB services;

and investing in strengthening community systems and responses in global, regional

STOP TB PARTNERSHIP STRUCTURES

TB REACH is a multi-lateral funding mecha-nism which provides grants to partners for testing innovative strategies and technolo-gies aimed at increasing the number of people diagnosed and treated for tuberculosis (TB), decreasing the time to appropriate treatment and improving treatment success.

TB REACH combines fast-track, results-based financing and rigorous, external monitoring and evaluation (M&E) to produce results, so national governments and/or other donor agencies can scale up successful approaches and maximize their own investments.

Strategic Initiatives & Innovative Financing’s (SIIF) primary mission is to develop and launch inno-vative projects that:

(1) promotes cross-sectoral collaboration and(2) leverages the business sector’s expertise and resources.

As such, it created a venture lab (vLAB) fund to pool and blend both private and public sector capital to seed entrepreneurial ideas to solve challenging and systemic problems in the global health and TB space. The first project launched, together with FIND, McGill International TB Centre, Unitaid, and TB Proof, is the Accelerator for Impact (a4i) which is a coordination platform of key partners and activities that focuses on the downstream end of the product development lifecycle and executes an efficient pathway to rapidly roll-out promising, new TB tools.

The Global Drug Facility (GDF) is a one-stop, bundled procurement and supply mechanism for quality assured TB health products aimed at facilitating world-wide, equitable access to TB medicines and diagnostics across both public and private sectors.

Global Drug Facility combines strategic procure-ment and innovative logistics solutions, man-agement and coordination of market activities for the full portfolio of TB medicines and diag-nostics, technical assistance and capacity build-ing for TB programmes in better pharmaceutical management practices, and accelerated uptake of new TB medicines, regimens, and diagnostics.

The Stop TB Partnership’s work is made possible only through the support of the Partnership’s many funders and partners. We appreciate their trust and gratefully acknowledge their support.
