PROPOSAL

FORMAT

• I have chosen to base my project on photography because I did well in the unit and I enjoy taking my own images. I am also interested in becoming more familiar with how the camera works and improve my skills at using it. The types of photography that I’m considering are fashion, wildlife, landscape and macro. I am planning to take a few tester photos of each type and see which one that suits me the best. I am hoping to display my photos in an exhibition format.

WORKING TITLE

• My working title is Springtime Shots, but this may change. I have chosen this title because the alliteration in the title is catchy and it explains what the exhibition is about.

GENRE• I was deciding between fashion (because I have always

been interested in it), wildlife (because I can find a lot of it where I live), macro (because it can capture the hidden details of anything), and landscape (because there are a lot of picturesque areas nearby), but I have now decided to use a springtime theme for my photos and therefore I will focus on wildlife and landscape because I find it easy and enjoyable to take images of these. I may also take some macro photos if there is an opportunity to.

CONTENT

• My exhibition will include varying images of nature and wildlife in the spring and they will be portrayed differently by the use of different features such as filters and so on.

STYLE

• The style that I’m going for is serene and peaceful but also eye catching and appealing to all kinds of people; the way that I am going to achieve this is by editing the photos to make them more colourful if needed and ensure that I include the most interesting and attractive areas of the object that I’m photographing in the shot.

AUDIENCE

• These photos are directed at anybody who likes the natural world (e.g. animals, plants) or has an interest in nature photography, which is more likely to be a slightly older audience or young photographers or wildlife enthusiasts.

LENGTH

• I am planning to take approximately 30 images; 10 focusing on animals, 10 on plants, and 10 on landscapes. The final amount of photos may slightly differ, being more or less depending on the possibility of finding what I am looking to photograph.
