He was born on Oct. 25, 1825, Vienna, Austria. He’s an Austrian composer （作曲家 ), conductor( 指挥家 ) and violinist （小提琴家） .

When he was very young, his musical talents( 天赋 ) was evident （非常明显） , he composed( 作曲 ) his first waltz at the age of 6. At the age of 19, he organized（组建） his own small orchestra and performed some of his compositions( 艺术作品 ). He made waltz popular throughout Europe （整个欧洲） .

During this time he composed his most famous waltzes like the Blue Danube 《蓝色多瑙河》 (1867), Artist‘s Life《艺术家的生涯》， Tales from the Vienna Woods 《维也纳森林的故事》 and Wine, Women, and Song 《醇酒 女人与歌》 . The Blue Danube 《蓝色多瑙河》 is probably the best-known waltz of all. ( 最著名的圆舞曲 )

When he died on June 3 in 1899, Viennese 维也纳人 hold a grand funeral 葬礼 and more than 100,000 people took part in it. He died when he was 74 years old.

He elevated 提升 the waltz from the atmosphere of the beer hall and the restaurant to that of the aristocratic ballroom ( 他把华尔兹这种原本只属于农民的舞曲形式提升为了宫廷中的一项高尚的娱乐形式 ) so he was called “the king of the waltz.“ ( 圆舞曲之王 )

His childhood was quite unfortunate( 不幸 ) . when he was 7, his mother died and 5 years later his father died. Then he became an apprentice ([ ‘preə

Old strauss was born on March 14th in 1804 in a small hotel owner’s family.

In 1825, when he was 21, he formed ( 组建 ) his own orchestra and began to compose ( 谱曲 ) waltzt. soon he became the most famous and popular composer( 作曲家 ) in vienna. He toured( 巡演 ) many other countries, even performed( 表演 ) in Queen Victoria‘s coronation （维多利亚女王的加冕典礼） in 1838.

He developed the forms of waltz （发展了圆舞曲的音乐形式） and he was called “the father of waltz( 圆舞曲之父 )”

In his works the most popular is Radetzky March 《拉德茨基进行曲》 . On september 25, 1849, in Vienna old John strauss died at the age of 45. People said that Vienna without strauss was like Austria without Danube

Mozart(1756--1791)

Mozart was born in a musician’s family in Austria. His father was a violinist （小提琴手） in a court orchestra( 宫廷乐团 ), and he was also a composer. His mother also loved music, she played the cello （ [‘t el u]ʃ ə 大提琴） and violin well.

He was the 7th and the youngest child in his family.Unluckily,five of his brothers and sisters died early.

Mozart(1756--1791)

When he was 3 years old, he showed up high music talent ( 展示极高的音乐天赋 ), at the age of 4 he learned to play the piano from his father, when he was 5 he began to write music.

Since 1762, his father took the 6-year-old boy and his 10-year-old sister around Europe to perform( 表演 ) and achieved great success( 取得极大的成功 )

By 1773 he had written 3 symphonies( 交响曲 ) and operas( 歌剧 ).that year he was only 17 years old.

Mozart(1756--1791)

He was really a music prodigy( 音乐神童 ), but he was persecuted [‘p :sikju:təid] by church( 遭到教会的迫害 ) all his life. Though he was very famous, he died of poorness and illness ( 贫穷与疾病 )on a cold evening in 1791 when he was 35 years old.

He was the representative figureof the European classical music ( 欧洲古典音乐代表人物 ).
