Example:Twostudentswiththesameintelligenceandskillsprepareforadifficultmathexam.Thefirststudentisconfidentintheirmathability,test-takingabili=esandhasastrongself-esteem.Theotherstudentdoesnotpossessthesethings.Whoismorelikelytoscorehigher?Thefirststudentbecausetheyareconfidentintheirabilitytoaccomplishtheirgoals…inthiscasepassingthetest.Thisconfidenceintheirskillsandabilityisself-efficacy.
