LOVE RELATIONSHIPS Las relaciones amorosas
I’m in love. - Estoy enamorada.
I’m in love with two guys at the same time.
I like them both and they both really like me.
Hillary: Coffee?Lesley: Oh, thank you!Hillary: Well, I know Clive, but tell me, what does Greg look like? Lesley: Uh…he’s not very tall, he’s slim, he has curly hair… Clive is stronger, more athletic than Greg. He’s defi nitely more attractive. Oh, he’s really hot!Hillary: So, choose Clive then.Lesley: Wait, it’s not that easy. Clive is awesome, but Greg is much more intelligent. He’s so bright!Hillary: Well, then choose Greg.Lesley: Oh, Clive is more romantic than Greg and... Well, on the other hand, Greg is richer. Hillary: Oh, is he? You see, that’s interesting…Lesley: Oh, Hil, what should I do? One minute I think that Greg is better for me, and the next minute I think Clive is the one…. It’s awful.Hillary: Listen…. Why don’t you take a week or so to make up your mind? Lesley: Yeah, maybe you’re right.Hillary: Of course I am. Try to chill out!Lesley: All right Hil, I’ll do that. But try to understand, I have two big problems!Client: Hello. Can you help me?Lesley: Of course, I can.
Client: I think I’m in love.Lesley: Oh… well…you’re not the only one! Client: Yes, but…uh… I’m in love with you.Lesley: What?!Hillary: Well, sweetie, now you have three problems!

ASKING ABOUT APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
What does Greg look like?
What’s she like?
What does Clive look like? - ¿Cómo es Clive físicamente?
He’s tall, slim and athletic. - Él es alto, delgado y atlético.
Clive is taller than Greg. - Clive es más alto que Greg.
Greg is friendlier and more amusing than Clive.
What does … look like? y What’s … like? funcionan como frases hechas, por lo tanto no se incluyen las frases look like o is like en la respuesta.
What does your sister look like? - ¿Cómo es tu hermana físicamente?
She’s tall and slim.-Es alta y delgada.
What’s your new boss like? - ¿Cómo es tu nuevo jefe?
He’s very intelligent but a little shy. - Es muy inteligente pero un poco tímido.
Clive is taller than Greg. - Clive es más alto que Greg.
Greg is shorter than Clive.
English is easier than German.
Greg is more intelligent than Clive. - Greg es más inteligente que Clive.
Clive is more attractive than Greg.
Clive is less intelligent than Greg. - Clive es menos inteligente que Greg.
Greg is less attractive than Clive.
She’s much taller than me. - Ella es mucho más alta que yo.
This book is much better than the other one.
Her sister is much more intelligent than her.
This ring is much more expensive than that necklace.

Yo no entiendo a esos chicos. ¡Mi corazón perte-nece a una sola chica! Lesley: ¿Escuchaste lo que dijo? ¡Dios mío!
Hillary: ¡No importa! ¡Continúa! Dime, ¿dónde conociste a Greg?Lesley: En un bar. Me vio y enseguida vino a hablarme. ¿Y a que no sabes? Hillary: ¿Qué?Lesley: Trabaja acá al lado. Hillary: ¿En serio? ¿Pero, lo conozco?Lesley: No. ¡Será mejor que te quedes aquí! Hillary: ¿Y cuándo lo conociste?Lesley: El mes pasado.Hillary: ¡El mes pasado! Analicemos a ambos. CLIVE, espacio, GREG.

Cliente: Hola. ¿Puedes ayudarme?Lesley: Sí, claro. Cliente: Creo que estoy enamorado.Lesley: ¡Ah!...Bueno…¡no eres el único!
