Introduction to Worldviews

Read Genesis 1:1-27 and answer the following

questions:

1. When did God create the heavens and the earth?

2. What was the earth like before God created?

3. What did God create each day?

4. How did God create on each day?

5. How did God create man?

There are 2 keys to life

1.We live in a rule governed

universe

2.When rules are followed or

ignore, patterns emerge

Worldview

A pattern of beliefs,

convictions, and habits

that help us make sense

of God, the world, and

our relationship to God

and the world.

Worldview

A total set of

beliefs a person has

about the biggest

questions in life.

Things to understand about worldviews

•Worldviews are often caught rather than

taught.

•People behave as they really believe

•Every worldview attempts to explain what the

world is like and how we shoud live

More information is available to us today

than at any time during human history.

How do we know who and what to trust?
