“VicariousTrauma:CaringfortheCaretaker”–A.Friedenheim,MSDailyexposuretosecondarytraumacanhaveeffectssimilartoposttraumaticstressdisorderandotherstressrelatedproblems.Thistrainingwillbeeducationalandexperiential,addressingtheconceptsofvicarioustraumatization,burnoutandcompassionfatigue.Inaddition,participantswillexaminehowselfcarecanhelpbuildresilienceandtherebyassistinhavinggreaterwellbeingandlongevityinone’schosenfield.Participantswillbeprovidedwithmanysimplepracticesusedindevelopingaselfcarebasedlifestyleanddoaself-assessmentforself-care.Ideasforphysical,mentalandemotionalpracticeswillbesharedandpracticedduringthecourseofthisworkshop.Participantswillleavewithpracticaltechniquestouseintheirlives.
