1. Echoing the Learnings of the 25th NPG (April 17-19, 2014) NIHOP April 23, 2014 2. I. UNDERSTANDING THE TIMES (THE RED BLOOD MOON) - The RED BLOOD MOON is a MARKER IN TIME - This is the LAST RED BLOOD MOON in this millennium falling on the FEASTS OF THE LORD - WHAT TIME DO THESE RED BLOOD MOONS MARK? 3. 1. THE GOODNESS AND SEVERITY OF GOD I SAMUEL 6:1-6 1 When the ark of the LORD had been in Philistine territory seven months, 2 the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners and said, "What shall we do with the ark of the LORD? Tell us how we should send it back to its place." 3 They answered, "If you return the ark of the god of Israel, do not send it away empty, but by all means send a guilt offering to him. Then you will be healed, and you will know why his hand has not been lifted from you." 4 The Philistines asked, "What guilt offering should we send to him?" They replied, "Five gold tumors and five gold rats, according to the number of the Philistine rulers, because the same plague has struck both you and your rulers.5 Make models of the tumors and of the rats that are destroying the country, and pay honor to Israel's god. Perhaps he will lift his hand from you and your gods and your land. 6 Why do you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh did? WHEN HE TREATED THEM HARSHLY, DID THEY NOT SEND THE ISRAELITES OUT SO THEY COULD GO ON THEIR WAY? 4. This season will see both: 1. The SEVERITY of God 2. the GOODNESS of God ON A GRAND SCALE (When Israel left Egypt, God was SEVERE on the Egyptians but GOOD to His people) Examples re THE BLOOD MOONS: 1. First red blood moon severity of God on Jesus Christ the SIN-BEARER; but GOODNESS for the sinners because their salvation has now come 2. 1948 red Blood Moon severity on the nations that attacked Israel; goodness to Israel and the Church 3. 1967 Red Blood Moon the same 5. MAJOR CHANGES ON ISRAEL AND THE CHURCH via red blood moons: 1. 1948 REBIRTH OF ISRAEL -- BIRTH OF MASS EVANGELISM IN THE CHURCH WHERE THOUSANDS AND MILLIONS ATTEND CRUSADES AND RALLY -- Billy Graham (first crusade 1948), oral Roberts, Morris Cerullo etc. -- season of MASS EVANGELISM 6. Revivals along with great persecutions: THIS WAS ALSO THE GREATEST PERSECUTION IN THE IRON CURTAIN (Communist world); estimated 12 million Christians killed (1948-1980s); this SEVERITY DID NOT COME FROM GOD BUT WAS ALLOWED BY GOD 7. Washington Post: Persecution against Christians increases in many parts of the world September 26, 2013 Much of the focus on the tensions in the Middle East, Africa and Asia has been on which political group will ultimately gain power in the various struggles. However, the bombing of a church in Pakistan and the targeting of non-Muslims in the terrorist attack in Nairobi, Kenya highlight the vulnerability of religious minorities in many parts of the world. Sundays attack on All Saints Church, an Anglican church built in 1883 is the deadliest attack on Christians in Pakistans history, killing 81 and injuring 140 church goers, according to the Associated Press. 8. MAP OF CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION today: 9. 1967 RECAPTURE OF JERUSALEM -- birth of the CHARISMATIC MOVEMENT; THE JESUS MOVEMENT, era of restoration of the GIFTS of the HOLY SPIRIT -- the enemy countered this with the sex, drug, and rock and roll revolution; ALSO, THIS STARTED THE ISLAMIC PERSECUTION OF CHRISTIANS; again, this severity did not come from God, but was allowed by God 10. THE 2014-2015 TETRAD WHAT WILL THE 2014-2015 TERAD BRING? 1. ISRAEL Temple? 2. THE CHURCH? 3. The WORLD? 4. The Philippines? WHAT GOODNESS WILL THE SEASON BRING? WHAT SEVERITY WILL THIS SEASON BRING? 11. THEIR PROGNOSIS: THE TIMES OF SEVERITY: 1. Increased BIRTH PAINS 2. Beginning of TRIBULATION PERIOD 3. Increased in MORAL EVIL 4. Increase SPIRITUAL AND DEMONIC ACTIVITIES 5. Increased CALAMITIES 6. Economic collapse, social disorder 7. FAMINES PESTILENCES DISEASES THE TIMES OF GOODNESS: 1. PROPHETIC OUTPOURING (Joel 2) 2. Increased INTERVENING ACTS OF GOD for His people 3. Emergence of BRIDAL CHURCH 4. Increased ANGELIC and SPIRIT ACTIVITIES 5. Goshens, arks 6. Provision for the church 7. GREAT HARVEST 12. 2. It will also be a day of vengeance, year of REDEEMING (Isa. 63:1-4) 1 Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? "It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save." 2 Why are your garments red, like those of one treading the winepress? 3 "I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath; their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing. 4 For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redemption (YEAR OF MY REDEEMED KJV) has come. 13. Isaiah 63:6-9 6 I trampled the nations in my anger; in my wrath I made them drunk and poured their blood on the ground. 7 I will tell of the kindnesses of the LORD, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the LORD has done for us yes, the many good things he has done for Israel, (NOTE: WE ARE INGRAFTED INTO ISRAEL) according to his compassion and many kindnesses. 8 He said, Surely they are my people, children who will be true to me; and so he became their Savior. 9 IN ALL THEIR DISTRESS HE TOO WAS DISTRESSED, AND THE ANGEL OF HIS PRESENCE SAVED THEM.[A] IN HIS LOVE AND MERCY HE REDEEMED THEM; HE LIFTED THEM UP AND CARRIED THEM ALL THE DAYS OF OLD. 14. 2014 beyond time OF GREAT UPHEAVALS AND GREAT DELIVERANCES: 15. A CLEAR PROMISE 1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted (TESTED) above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. (KJV) 13 No temptation[a] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted (TRIED)[b] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[c] he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (KJV) 16. VERY IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND! The DAY OF VENGEANCE of our God (terms that refers to the SECOND COMING) IS ALSO AT THE SAME TIME the YEAR OF REDEEMING (OR REDEMPTION) 17. The so-called NOAH PRINCIPLE will be applied in these last days The SAME WATERS that judged the earth were the SAME WATERS that lifted Noah; PROVIDED NOAH BUILT THE ARK. We must build our arks in these last days. 18. 3. Season of time and chance happening to us (Ecclesiastes 9) 11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; BUT TIME AND CHANCE HAPPENETH TO THEM ALL. 12 For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them. 19. TIME In the ancient Hebrew words that are used to described distance and direction are also used to describe time. In the ancient Hebrew mind the past is in front of you while the future is behind you, the opposite way we think of the past and future. The Hebrew word olam means in the far distance. When looking off in the far distance it is difficult to make out any details and what is beyond that horizon cannot be seen. This concept is the olam. The word olam is also used for time for the distant past or the distant future as a time that is difficult to know or perceive. So TIME HAPPENING TO YOU MEANS THAT WHICH IS DISTANT OR FAR HAS BEEN BROUGHT NEAR, TO HERE AND NOW 20. Hebrew words for time The Hebrew word pronounced tekh-il-law, which means to begin the Hebrew word pronounced mow-ad-dawh, which means appointment or a decided time the Hebrew word pronounced id-dawn, which means an appointed length of time the Hebrew word pronounced zem-mawn, which means a set length of duration SO TIME HAPPENETH TO THEM ALL means WHAT WAS APPOINTED, SET, AS PROMISED BY THE LORD, WILL NOW COME TO PASS 21. CHANCE To the English reader, chance means something along the following (definitions taken from www.dictionary.com): the absence of any cause of events that can be predicted, understood, or controlled. luck or fortune. a possibility or probability of anything happening. Again, this idea is completely foreign to the Bible with the exception of a few negative comments about pagan belief and philosophy 22. THE HEBREW WORD CHANCE The Hebrew word translated as chance is PEGA and occurs only one other time in the Bible in 1 Kings 5:4. Please notice the context of this passage. But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or disaster (pega). (NIV) In the only other Biblical occurrence of pega, Solomon is clearly declaring that no disaster or life event has over taken him because God is in control. If the word pega truly meant the same thing as chance in the typical English definition of the word, then Solomon is clearly declaring that there is no such thing as chance. Solomon didnt believe that it was the luck of the draw that saved him from disaster, it was God. 23. WHAT IT MEANS FOR US: Solomon, the author of Ecclesiastes, has already firmly established that he believes in Gods guiding hand. He has made everything beautiful in its time. (3:14) Then I saw all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun. (8:17) Solomon tells US: "... the righteous and the wise and their works are in the hand of God" (Eccl. 9:1). David understood, too, that he was in God's hands. He wrote, in Psalm 31:15: "My times are in Your hand." He knew that he, as well as all true Christians, are always, constantly and completely, under God's observation, His protection and in His loving care (compare, Psalm 4:7-8; 9:9-10; 17:8; 23:1-6; 33:18-19; 34: 7, 15, 19-20, etc. etc.). 24. HEBREW MIND SET: times are determined by GOD, never by chance! "The lot is cast into the lap; But the whole disposing thereof is of Yahweh PROVERBS 16:33 25. GOD HAS ALREADY SET THE TIMES OF BLESSINGS AND CURSINGS: IT IS IN HIS CALENDAR AND FEASTS: Leviticus 25:1, 18-22 1 And the LORD spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying, 2 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a sabbath to the LORD. 18 'So you shall observe My statutes and keep My judgments, and perform them; and you will dwell in the land in safety. 19 'Then the land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill, and dwell there in safety. 20 'And if you say, "What shall we eat in the seventh year, since we shall not sow nor gather in our produce? 21 'Then I will command My blessing on you in the sixth year, and it will bring forth produce enough for three years. 22 'And you shall sow in the eighth year, and eat old produce until the ninth year; until its produce comes in, you shall eat of the old harvest. 26. BASIC RE-ADJUSTMENT TO OUR TIME-KEEPING: 1. DAY ADJUSTMENT -- The LORDs 24-HOUR DAY STARTS WITH THE EVENING (sunset to sunset) -- remember: the Lords calendar is LUNAR -- your prayer for the DAY must have already began at the SUNSET, so the glory of God will meet you at SUNRISE 27. Time re-adjustment: 2. THE WEEK ADJUSTMENT: The LORDS REST DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY the Seventh Day (EXODUS 20:10-11) STARTS FRIDAY EVENING BY OUR TIME, ENDS SATURDAY EVENING: -- rest -- worship, meditation -- most difficult part for us: EVERYBODY NO WORK, even animals 28. 3. THE MONTH AND YEAR ADJUSTMENT BASED OF THE FEASTS OF THE LORD 29. Why DID THE LORD institute the annual feasts and why are they permanent? 1. THE LORD wants the PEOPLE OF GOD TO REGULARLY CHECK THEIR WALK WITH THE LORD 2. THE FEASTS PROVIDED AN ANNUAL BAROMETER 3. THERE ARE BLESSINGS (AND JUDGMENTS) DISTRIBUTED EVERY YEAR BEASED ON THE FEASTS so the FEASTS became the bases for the release of either judgments or blessings on the people of God 30. HOW APPLIED TO US TODAY? 1. FEAST OF PASSOVER (Pesach) the 14th day of the 1st Month (Nisan March/April) Time to RE-APPRECIATE WHAT JESUS HAS DONE (the sacrificial lamb), and to remember ALL OF GODS REDEMPTIVE ACTS (Israel would recount not only the red Sea crossing but the plagues sent on Egypt, the manna and water in the wilderness, the pillar of fire and cloud, etc) EVERY PASSOVER, WE MUST DO IT IN CHURCH 31. 2. The Feast of the Unleavened Bread (ChagHamotzi) (Nisan-April) -- celebrates the PURITY OF JESUS (no leaven, no sin) -- Jews celebrate this BY SEARCHING THEIR HOUSES EVERY YEAR at this time for ANY TRACE OF LEAVEN and they bring it out APPLIED TODAY: At least ONCE EVERY YEAR WE HAVE TIME TO CHECK ANYTHING IN OUR HOUSE THAT IS WICKED, we get rid of them, burn them, destroy them, throw them away 32. 3. Feast of Firstfruits (Reshit Katzir) (Nisan-April) -- celebrates Gods BLESSINGS OF HARVEST -- also celebrates the RESURRECTION of Jesus as FIRSTFRUIT FROM AMONG THE DEAD APPLIED TODAY (ESPECIALLY in NEGROS) -- March-April is MIDDLE OF HARVEST SEASON (sometimes up to July, but starting September the year before) -- This is the time to bring ANNUAL FIRSTFRUIT OFFERINGS to the Lord; we give GIFTS TO THE LORD 33. 4. Pentecost (Shavout) (Sivan- May/June) longest feast -- time when the LAW (WORD) was given to Moses -- also the time WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT ON PENTECOST APPLIED TODAY: -- this is a GOOD TIME TO SEEK A FRESH WORD FROM THE LORD -- SEEK FRESH SPIRIT OUTPOURING, RE-CHARGING, DIRECTION -- longest feast, ends on SEPTEMBER (Feast of Trumpets) 34. 5. Trumpets (Yom Teruah-Rosh Hashanah); (Tishri-September) TRUMPETS is A TIME OF: -- SOLEMN ASSEMBLY, repent for the sins of the land -- Prepare for WAR -- seek Gods favor -- prepare for a COMING KING -- prepare for COMING GROOM APPLIED TODAY: -- it is a good time for the church to RE-EXAMINE ITS BRIDAL POSITION AND ENDTIME PREPAREDNESS -- RE GROUP ITS FORCES, ARMY 35. 6. Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) (Tishri-September) is the holiest day of the year for the Jewish people.[1] Its central themes are atonement and repentance. Jewish people traditionally observe this holy day with an approximate 25-hour period of fasting and intensive prayer, often spending most of the day in synagogue services. A TIME TO AFFLICT ONES SELF For reflection, fasting, alignment with God WHAF IF THE CHURCH HAS ANNUAL ONE DAY FAST WHERE EVERYONE RE-ALIGNS HIMSELF WITH GOD AND THE WHOLE CHURCH LISTENS TO GOD? 36. 7. Feast of Tabernacle (Sukkot) (Tishri September/October) Looks forward to God dwelling with redeemed man forever APPLIED TODAY: Review the promises of the SECOND COMING of Jesus with a preparedness for His coming and alignment to His end- time program WHAT IF THE CHURCH TODAY HAS AN ANNUAL END- TIMES UPDATE AND ASSESMENT OF ALL PROPHETIC DEVELOPMENTS WITH A VIEW TO PREPARE FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD? 37. IMPORTANT: THREE MAJOR FEASTS HAVE ATTACHED BLESSINGS! Important to take note that of the Seven Feasts of the Lord There are THREE MAJOR HARVEST FEASTS where God has promised blessing and they are: 1. Passover or Feast of Unleavened Bread. 2. Shavuot / Feast of Weeks which is also called Pentecost, a Greek translation of the Hebrew words meaning, the fiftieth day when the Festival was celebrated. (Leviticus 23:15, 16) 3. The Feast of Tabernacles. 38. Understanding the Feasts and the Times: 39. II. WALKING IN THE GLORY OF GOD 40. BIBLICAL CONCEPTS OF GLORY: GLORY CAN SANCTIFY AND FILL A PLACE: Ex 29:43 "And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by My glory. Ex 40:34 Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. Ex 40:35 And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. 41. The Glory can APPEAR Le 9:6 Then Moses said, "This is the thing which the LORD commanded you to do, and the glory of the LORD will appear to you. Nu 14:22 "because all these men who have seen My glory and the signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have put Me to the test now these ten times, and have not heeded My voice, GODS GLORY WILL APPEAR UPON YOU GOLD DUST MIRACLES MARCH 19, 2010 ADMIN 17 COMMENTS 42. God is given the glory when we confess sin: Jos 7:19 Now Joshua said to Achan, "My son, I beg you, give glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession to Him, and tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me." 43. We can go the right way but without glory Jg 4:9 So she said, "I will surely go with you; nevertheless there will be no glory for you in the journey you are taking, for the LORD will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman." Then Deborah arose and went with Barak to Kedesh. 44. GLORY CHANGES STATUS IN LIFE 1Sa 2:8 He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. "For the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, And He has set the world upon them 45. PRAISE DECLARES THE GLORY OF GOD 1Ch 16:10 Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! 1Ch 16:24 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. 1Ch 16:28 Give to the LORD, O families of the peoples, Give to the LORD glory and strength. 1Ch 16:29 Give to the LORD the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness! 1Ch 29:11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, And You are exalted as head over all. 46. GLORY PROTECTS Ps 3:3 But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. 47. Man has a glory that is BEST OFFERED TO THE LORD Ps 8:5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. Ps 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. Ps 30:12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever. Ps 57:8 Awake, my glory! Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn. 48. GLORY PROTECTS AND PROVIDES Ps 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly. 49. Glory can ATTACH TO A PLACE: Ps 85:9 Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, That glory may dwell in our land. Isa 60:7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, The rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; They shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, And I will glorify the house of My glory. Isa 60:13 "The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, The cypress, the pine, and the box tree together, To beautify the place of My sanctuary; And I will make the place of My feet glorious. 50. It can therefore be TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER PLACE Mic 1:15 I will yet bring an heir to you, O inhabitant of Mareshah; The glory of Israel shall come to Adullam. 51. The glory of God is a WALL OF FIRE OF PROTECTION Zec 2:5 'For I,' says the LORD, 'will be a WALL OF FIRE all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.'" Zec 2:8 For thus says the LORD of hosts: "He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. 52. GLORY is brought down by PRAISE AND WISDOM Ps 149:5 Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. Pr 3:35 The wise shall inherit glory, But shame shall be the legacy of fools. Pr 4:9 She will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory she will deliver to you." Pr 16:31 The silver-haired head is a crown of glory, If it is found in the way of righteousness. 53. NOT TO BE EASILY OFFENDED FACILITATES GLORY Pr 19:11 The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, And his glory is to overlook a transgression. Pr 25:27 It is not good to eat much honey; So to seek one's own glory is not glory. 54. The judgments of the Lord are His glory Isa 2:19 They shall go into the holes of the rocks, And into the caves of the earth, From the terror of the LORD And the glory of His majesty, When He arises to shake the earth mightily. Isa 2:21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, And into the crags of the rugged rocks, From the terror of the LORD And the glory of His majesty, When He arises to shake the earth mightily. Isa 3:8 For Jerusalem stumbled, And Judah is fallen, Because their tongue and their doings Are against the LORD, To provoke the eyes of His glory. 55. Glory is associated with COVERING Isa 4:5 then the LORD will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. FOR OVER ALL THE GLORY THERE WILL BE A COVERING. 56. Hell and all those going to it have their own glory Isa 5:14 Therefore Sheol has enlarged itself And opened its mouth beyond measure; Their glory and their multitude and their pomp, And he who is jubilant, shall descend into it. Isa 8:7 Now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up over them The waters of the River, strong and mighty-The king of Assyria and all his glory; He will go up over all his channels And go over all his banks. Isa 10:3 What will you do in the day of punishment, And in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory? Isa 10:12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Lord has performed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, that He will say, "I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks." 57. Earthly glory will be judged Isa 13:19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, The beauty of the Chaldeans' pride, Will be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. Isa 14:18 "All the kings of the nations, All of them, sleep in glory, Everyone in his own house; 58. The GLORY FLUCTUATES, depending on our walk and obedience Isa 17:4 "In that day it shall come to pass That the glory of Jacob will wane, And the fatness of his flesh grow lean. 59. Glory can be subject to TIME LIMIT Isa 21:16 For thus the Lord has said to me: "Within a year, according to the year of a hired man, all the glory of Kedar will fail; Isa 16:14 But now the LORD has spoken, saying, "Within three years, as the years of a hired man, the glory of Moab will be despised with all that great multitude, and the remnant will be very small and feeble." 60. GLORY IS TRANSFERRABLE (Isaiah 22) 15 This is what the Lord, the LORD Almighty, says: Go, say to this steward, to Shebna the palace administrator: 16 What are you doing here and who gave you permission to cut out a grave for yourself here, hewing your grave on the height and chiseling your resting place in the rock? 17 Beware, the LORD is about to take firm hold of you and hurl you away, you mighty man. 18 He will roll you up tightly like a ball and throw you into a large country. There you will die and there the chariots you were so proud of will become a disgrace to your masters house. 19 I will depose you from your office, and you will be ousted from your position. 61. Transferrable glory: 20 In that day I will summon my servant, Eliakim son of Hilkiah. 21 I will clothe him with your robe and fasten your sash around him and hand your authority over to him. He will be a father to those who live in Jerusalem and to the people of Judah. 22 I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 23 I will drive him like a peg into a firm place; he will become a seat[a] of honor for the house of his father. 24 All the glory of his family will hang on him: its offspring and offshootsall its lesser vessels, from the bowls to all the jars. 25 In that day, declares the LORD Almighty, the peg driven into the firm place will give way; it will be sheared off and will fall, and the load hanging on it will be cut down. The LORD has spoken. 62. The Lord does not want the same homage or glory given to Him to be given to carved images Isa 42:8 I am the LORD, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images. 63. The GLORY OF THE LORD BRINGS HEALING Isa 58:8 Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard. Isa 60:1 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. Isa 60:2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. 64. Our testimony of RIGHTEOUSNESS AND PROPSERITY is GLORY Isa 61:6 But you shall be named the priests of the LORD, They shall call you the servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, And in their glory you shall boast. Isa 62:2 The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, And all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name, Which the mouth of the LORD will name. 65. Blessing Jerusalem enables to share the abundance of her glory Isa 66:11 That you may feed and be satisfied With the consolation of her bosom (JERUSALEM), That you may drink deeply and be delighted With the abundance of her glory." 66. GLORY is in KNOWING THE LORD! Jer 9:23 Thus says the LORD: "Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; Jer 9:24 But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight," says the LORD. 67. There is time TO GIVE glory Jer 13:16 Give glory to the LORD your God Before He causes darkness, And before your feet stumble On the dark mountains, And while you are looking for light, He turns it into the shadow of death And makes it dense darkness. 68. The glory of God can be TANGIBLY MANIFESTED and SEEN: Eze 1:28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. So when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of One speaking. Eze 3:23 So I arose and went out into the plain, and behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, like the glory which I saw by the River Chebar; and I fell on my face. Eze 8:4 And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, like the vision that I saw in the plain. 69. You can SEE THE MOVEMENT OF THE GLORY OF THE LORD Eze 43:2 And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory. Eze 43:4 And the glory of the LORD came into the temple by way of the gate which faces toward the east. Eze 43:5 The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the temple. Eze 44:4 Also He brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple; so I looked, and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD; and I fell on my face. 70. The glory can be CHANGED Ho 4:7 "The more they increased, The more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame. Mal 2:2 If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name," Says the LORD of hosts, "I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, Because you do not take it to heart. 71. WE CAN, MUST, SEEK FOR GODS GLORY!! Ro 2:7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; Ro 2:10 but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 72. We glory in TRIBULATIONS! Ro 5:3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 73. WE ARE SET UP, DESTINED, DESIGNED FOR GLORY!! Ro 9:23 and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, 1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 2Co 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, ARE BEING TRANSFORMED INTO THE SAME IMAGE FROM GLORY TO GLORY, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 74. Glory can be UNDERSTOOD and STRENGTHENED Eph 1:18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, Eph 3:13 Therefore I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. Eph 3:16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 75. We can have GLORY NOW Heb 13:21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. 76. Suffering for Jesus is GLORY 1Pe 4:13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. 1Pe 4:14 If you are REPROACHED FOR THE NAME OF CHRIST, BLESSED ARE YOU, FOR THE SPIRIT OF GLORY AND OF GOD RESTS UPON YOU. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. 1Pe 5:10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 77. Glory SUPPLIES Php 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus 78. To GOD ALONE BELONG ALL GLORY Ro 16:27 to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen. 1Co 1:29 that no flesh should glory in His presence. 1Co 1:31 that, as it is written, "He who glories, let him glory in the LORD." 79. ONE COMPELLING QUESTION: HOW DO WE WALK IN THE GLORY OF GOD? 80. Romans 8:29-30 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON CHRISTLIKENESS. This is the ONLY PATHWAY to GLORY. 81. Ephesians 1:3-6 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that WE SHOULD BE HOLY AND WITHOUT BLAME before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the PRAISE OF THE GLORY of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved. HOLINESS AND BLAMELESSNESS IN CHRIST AND BY CHRIST IS THE PATHWAY TO GLORY. 82. 2 THESS. 2:13-14 13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you FOR SALVATION THROUGH SANCTIFICATION by the Spirit and belief in the truth, 14 to which He called you by our gospel, FOR THE OBTAINING OF THE GLORY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. SANCTIFICATION IS THE ONLY WAY TO OBTAIN THE GLORY OF CHRIST JESUS. 83. I COR. 1:21-23 11 O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart is wide open. 14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people." 17 Therefore "COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM AND BE SEPARATE, SAYS THE LORD. DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN, AND I WILL RECEIVE YOU." 18 "I WILL BE A FATHER TO YOU, AND YOU SHALL BE MY SONS AND DAUGHTERS, Says the LORD Almighty. UNYOKING WITH UNBELIEVERS PROTECTS GLORY 84. The BELOVED SON (1st time) Mt 3:16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." 85. The BELOVED SON (2nd time) Mt 17:1 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." 5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "THIS IS MY BELOVED SON, IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED. HEAR HIM!" 86. THE GLORY IS WHEN WE BECOME THE BELOVED SONS AND DAUGHTERS IN WHOM THE FATHER IS WELL PLEASED We are called to be CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF THE SON (Romans 8:29) 1Jo 4:9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might LIVE THROUGH HIM. (not for Him.) 87. THAT GLORY IS BEING COMPLETE IN CHRIST AND IT IS FOR NOW! Heb 13:20 NOW may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 make you COMPLETE in EVERY GOOD WORK to do His will, working in you what is WELL PLEASING in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. WE MUST ASK AND STRIVE FOR COMPLETENESS AND PERFECTION IN CHRIST JESUS!! 88. QUESTION: WHAT MUST THE CHRISTIAN DO TO ATTAIN, EXPERIENCE, AND WALK IN THE GLORY OF GOD? 89. ANSWER: AIM FOR PERFECTION!!!! Ge 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. {perfect: or, upright} Ge 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. {perfect: or, upright, or, sincere} 90. HOW??? Begin with the heart: 1Ki 8:61 Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day. 1Ki 11:4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. 2Ki 20:3 I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. {sore: Heb. with a great weeping} 91. A PERFECT HEART is a HEART THAT WILL FOLLOW THE KING 1Ch 12:38 All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king. 1Ch 29:9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy. 92. THE LORD PROTECTS WITH HIS GLORY THOSE WITH PERFECT HEART 2Ch 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars 93. WE CAN DO THINGS RIGHT, BUT NOT WITH A PERFECT HEART!! 2Ch 19:9 And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart. 2Ch 25:2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, BUT NOT WITH A PERFECT HEART. (This is the sad story of Amaziah, read him in 2 CHRON. 25) 94. JOB THE PERFECT MAN Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Job 2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. 95. THE PR0MISE FOR THE PERFECT MAN: Ps 37:37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. Pr 2:21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. BUT NO MAN IS PERFECT!!! Gods answer: Ps 138:8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. 96. JESUS CLEAR COMMAND: Mt 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Lu 6:40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect SHALL BE AS HIS MASTER. 97. WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING is given to the perfect 1Co 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 1Co 14:20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. {men: Gr. perfect, or, of a ripe age} 98. Our goal, our objective is: 2Co 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. Ga 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: {in: or, into} {stature: or, age} 99. ARE WE ALREADY PERFECT? Php 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Php 3:15 LET US THEREFORE, AS MANY AS BE PERFECT, BE THUS MINDED: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Col 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; THAT WE MAY PRESENT EVERY MAN PERFECT IN CHRIST JESUS: 100. PAULS GREAT CONCERN: 1Th 3:10 Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith? 2Ti 3:17 That the MAN OF GOD MAY BE PERFECT, THOROUGHLY FURNISHED UNTO ALL GOOD WORKS. 101. WHAT IS ONE GOOD TOOL THAT GOD USES TO PERFECT US? Heb 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect THROUGH SUFFERINGS. Heb 5:9 And being made perfect (after suffering many things), he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; 102. THE GREAT BENEDICTION Heb 13:20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 MAKE YOU PERFECT in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. 1Pe 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, MAKE YOU PERFECT, STABLISH, STRENGTHEN, SETTLE YOU 103. HOW CAN WE ACHIEVE PERFECTION? Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY: Romans 8: 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies THROUGH HIS SPIRIT WHO DWELLS IN YOU. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors--not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Php 2:13 FOR IT IS GOD WHICH WORKETH IN YOU BOTH TO WILL AND TO DO OF HIS GOOD PLEASURE. 104. WHY, WHY, WHY ARE WE EXHORTED TO BE PERFECT? PERFECT is the HEBREW WORD Shalem, from the root word SHALAM, meaning: complete, not lacking in anything, undamaged or uninjured, whole, finished (in contrast to unfinished), not violated, IS IT A WONDER WHY IT SOUNDS VERY SIMILAR TO SHALOM? PEACE whole, satisfied, not lacking in anything, complete, provided for, contented, protected, safe, secure 105. IF WE WALK IN THE GLORY OF GOD in these last days, HOW WILL IT MANIFEST? 1. PHYSICAL MANIFESTATIONS: - Shoes and clothes that grew with the Jews - Manna from heaven, water from the rock - Teleportation (Philip) - Healings (apostles, prophets) - Supernatural protections (prophets) - Supernatural ability to bear suffering and death (martyrs) 106. Manifestations of Glory: 2. SPIRITUAL MANIFESTATIONS: - Powerful testimony of ones life - Supernatural knowledge, wisdom, and understanding - Powerful answers to prayer - Experiences with the spirit realm (John, Paul) - Powerful messages that bring conviction - Attraction of the lost to Christ (thousands added to their numbers daily, in Church in Jerusalem) - Signs, wonders, miracles - Cooperation, working, conversation with angels 107. AT THE END OF THE DAY IT IS NOT THE GIFTS OR ANOINTINGS THAT REALLY MATTER. IT IS THE HEART THAT IS PERFECT TOWARDS GOD. IT IS BEING CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON. IT IS BEING LIKE JESUS. IT IS BEING MADE PERFECT IN HIM 108. JUST LIKE JESUS! This is my beloved son/daughter, in whom I am well pleased! Baptized unto obedience, TRANSFORMED into GLORY!
