All of the project activities (e.g. Constellations in different cultures or Calendars and the measure of time in everyday life) have an interdisciplinary character and tend to promote knowledge of different cultural heritages, leading to a better mutual understanding and friendship among young Italians and immigrants. Under The Same Sky involve young immigrants and Italians living in Regione Lazio, attending primary or secondary school in which there is a significant presence of immigrant students. The project aims to encourage mutual knowledge between the different communities, the acceptance and appreciation of different cultures, and to promote future development of professional vocations in science and technology. Our astronomical activities are planned and carried on in collaboration between school teachers, university professors, research institutions members, and communicators working in scientific museums. In fact the project was implemented within a broad cooperation between the Department of Mathematics and Physics of "Roma Tre" University, some pilot schools of the Rome area, the "Museo del Balì" of Saltara (PU) and the Department of Basic Sciences and Fundamentals of the Urbino University.
