Highly acclaimed Chartered Accountant for more than 39 years, Mr. Amarjit Chopra is a senior partner of GSA & Associates, Chartered Accountants, New Delhi. He was the President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India during 2010-2011 and Vice-president the year before. Banking, Finance and Insurance sector interested him immensely which could be evidenced by his nomination as independent director to Bank of Baroda and Indian Bank, Member of the Securities & Exchange Board Committee on disclosures and accounting standards, Board Member of the Insurance Regulatory Authority of India and Member of Audit Committee of the Reserve Bank of India. Mr. Chopra has been nominated by Government of India as the Chairman of National Advisory Committee on Accounting Standards, under Companies Act. As a prolific speaker, he has delivered more than 2000 lectures on various topics including Accounting and Auditing Standards, IFRS, Banking etc. both in India as well as abroad. He is presently on the Board of Roop Automotives Ltd, RICO Auto Industries Limited, Urban Improvement Co. Pvt Ltd.

Dr. Kirit Somaiya is a Member of Parliament in India where he chairs the Parliament Committee of energy. He graduated as a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in 1979 and also secured a rank in the All India Merit List. He was conferred with a Doctorate from the Mumbai University in 2005 for his thesis – “Finance – Capital Market – Small Investors Protection.” Dr. Somaiya is considered to be one of the most vocal parliamentarians against corruption and has been instrumental in the investigation and unearthing of various financial crimes.

Mr. Madhav Lal joined the Indian Administrative Service in the year 1977 and retired recently in June 2015 as Secretary of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the Government of India. In his civil service career spanning thirty-eight years, Mr. Lal held various senior assignments with the Government of India, the State Government of Jammu & Kashmir and with the United Nations. In his last assignment as Secretary, MSME, Mr. Lal chaired an Inter-Ministerial Committee of Secretaries in the Government of India. In his earlier stint as Development Commissioner in the same Ministry, he formulated the schemes under the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme. Concurrent to his assignments in the Ministry of MSME, Mr. Lal was a Member of the National Skill Development Authority and a Director on the National Skill Development Corporation and the Small Industries Bank of India.He is a recipient of the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration (2010-11) and the Jammu and Kashmir State Award forMeritorious Public Service (2012).

Mr. Waqar is a Certified Chartered Accountant and a dynamic and seasoned corporate financier having more than 8 years of experience in Valuations, Due Diligence, Project Finance, Advanced financial modeling, Debt restructuring, Fund raising, Financial Reporting and feasibility studies and M&A mandates including his most recent work on an IPO process.Mr. Waqar has served as the Group Head of Finance at a leading Group of Companies involved in Cement manufacturing and Aluminium extrusion having operations in four countries across the MENA region and headquartered in Bahrain. He has also worked in the Corporate Finance departments of EY and KPMG in key roles.

Mr. S. S. Mundra took over as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on July 31, 2014. As Deputy Governor, Mr. Mundra overseas banking supervision, currency management, financial stability, rural credit, customer service, as also, the Reserve Bank’s human resources and security. Prior to joining the Reserve Bank, Mr. Mundra was Chairman and Managing Director, Bank of Baroda, the second largest bank in the country.During a banking career spanning 37 years, he has held several challenging positions including heading Bank of Baroda’s European operations (UK) before being elevated as Executive Director of Union Bank of India in September 2010 and further as Chairman of Bank of Baroda in January 2013.Mr. Mundra has served on Boards of several multi-dimensional companies such as The Clearing Corporation of India Ltd (CCIL), Central Depository Services (India) Ltd. (CDSL), BOB Asset Management Company, India Infrastructure Finance Corporation (UK) Ltd. (IIFCL), Star Union Dai-Ichi Life Insurance Company Ltd., National Payments Corporation of India Ltd. He has served as the Chairman of Committee on Financial Inclusion set up by the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) and also served as a member of several other important committees constituted by the IBA and RBI, including the Nachiket Mor Committee on Comprehensive Financial Services (CCFS) for Small Businesses and Low-Income Households.He holds a Masters Degree in Commerce and CAIIB. Amity University has conferred the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil.), Honoris Causa, upon Mr. Mundra recently.
