• Information has been collected from different sectors:
• Different levels of adoption of UN/EDIFACT standards apply and different models (e.g.: central hub, provider based, EDI/WebEDI)
• The Large-scale retail trade (INDICOD) is at the top rate of adoption with EANCOM (GS1 guidelines of EDIFACT standards), whilst other sectors are mainly based on proprietary XML (Automotive, Telco) or highly customized (Electric Appliance) EDI solutions (B2B exchange)
• As for Foreign Payments, FIAT Group is also managing EDIFACT standards (Paymul format) over its corporate banking EDI channel
