Bridge Therapy | Fractional CO2

Bridge Therapy is the family of fractional treatments encompassing PigmentFX,

ActiveFX, DeepFX and TotalFX. Each procedure involves treating only a fraction of the

skin’s surface, leaving “bridges” of untouched skin to aid in the regeneration process.

Bridge Therapy utilizes UltraPulse®, the gold standard of CO2 lasers, to deliver a variety of

left untreated, practitioners tailor treatments

to the indication and patient’s tolerance of

downtime. Only the UltraPulse gives you the

flexibility to leave 95% to 0% of tissue intact.

Deeper wrinkles and scars have a dermal component

and are most effectively treated by penetrating deep into

the problem areas. Higher percentage of untreated skin

enables quicker healing.

Dyschromias are superficial and respond best to near

complete coverage. Less untreated skin, a larger spot size

and less penetration are ideal for this indication.

Ablate, Contract and RemodelEach pulse ablates a column of tissue, eliminating discolorations at

the surface and causing volumetric skin reduction. As ablation occurs,

deep heating stimulates immediate collagen contraction and long-term

collagen remodeling.

You’re going to get this immediate effect and then you get the long-term collagen stimulation. The nice thing is that patients come in and get an instant result. So the satisfaction from the patient is high and the complication rate is extremely low. I like the flexibility of Bridge Therapy because we treat some patients with pigments. Both Asian patients and Hispanic patients have been treated, really, up to and including skin type fives, with moderate settings and really no problems with hyper-pigmentation.
