Area residents rang in the new year at the Village of Saugerties New Year’s Eve Ball Drop held on Main Street and Partition Street.

The event drew a crowd of hundreds who enjoyed the sounds of DJ Riley Cornelison and the Post Modern Music Band. The band 90 Proof performed. The Saugerties Boy Scouts offered hot chocolate and coffee to partygoeres.

The new year was welcomed in with the Ball Drop at midnight with the help of Mayor Bill Murphy and Police Chief Joe Sinagra.
