TUNE is the acronym for Together Understanding the Needs of
Education.
Together in TUNE signifies the close interaction that students
achieve in a classroom, where they get seamless opportunities to
enhance their learning through interactive teaching. The TUNE
model combines an optimum mix of lectures from teachers,
industry experts, and successful students.
Encouraged by the growth of the Education Sector in India, TUNE
was promoted in July 2008 by some of the brightest visionaries
and academicians.
TUNE's essence lies in its successful blend of traditional and
modern tools and technologies, which we use to teach, assess,
monitor, and inspire students towards success.
Our National Capital Region or NCR enjoys the advantage of
having the best quality teachers and trainers, along with mature
systems of academic excellence. The faculty board of TUNE
comprises eminent research scholars, most of whom are PhDs
with vast experience in academics.
TUNE intends to provide access to high quality education by
leveraging the system of academic excellence available in the
NCR through a very innovative and robust delivery model using
state-of-the-art VSAT technology.
TUNE has been delivering high quality teaching in Engineering
and Management institutions since 2008. It is now expanding its
academic delivery network through TUNE Learning Centres in
many parts of the country. Tune Learning Centres deliver success-
driven coaching and training programs that target higher
education students of engineering, management, commerce, and
social sciences, candidates of competitive examinations, and
participants of skill development and employability programs.
About TUNE
The main aim of Education is to bring about attitudinal and behavioral changes in people for their effective development.
Unfortunately, in India, education is yet to draw seriousness it deserves towards this end. Accessibility, Uniformity and
Quality is the need of the hour in our country in the field of education.
Teaching is a highly respectable though challenging field, but it has failed to draw talent in the past being less
remunerative. Fortunately, the government has now started paying nearly adequate attention and, thus, this field is
becoming more attractive in all respects. However, there is a huge gap between the quality that we need and the quality
of the talent supply, especially with respect to higher education.
The government has introduced the National Eligibility Test (NET) to bench-mark the quality of entry in the higher
educational field. However to guide, coach and prepare aspiring candidates, currently no quality educational institutes
are available.
TUNE (Together Understanding the Needs of Education)—a student-centric institute that is driven by the vision to
democratize education—is fully geared to provide high quality in-put to NET aspirants, all over the country, through the V-
Sat educational NET-work. TUNE provides the much desired, Accessibility, Uniformity & Quality!
Come and join TUNE to experience the way its success mantra (S=PE2) gallops you forward towards assured success!

UGC conducts a National Eligibility Test (NET) to
determine eligibility for lectureship in higher
education and for award of Junior Research
Fellowship (JRF) in order to ensure that entrants
in the teaching profession and research meet
the required minimum standards. Besides
management, the NET is conducted in
Humanities, Social Sciences, Environmental
Sciences, and many other areas.
Currently, the frequency of the NET examination
is bi-annual and it is conducted in the months of
June and December (held on the last Sunday of
the respective month).
TUNE LEARNING METHODOLOGY
In TUNE, the delivery of content follows a multi-step process:
(a) Coverage of the prescribed syllabus in a focused manner
by a competent faculty through Satellite Mode / Face-to-
Face Mode. The faculty discusses and explains many
questions on the pattern of the NET examination.
(b) Study material in the form of short notes.
(c) Mock tests
(d) Interactions/ problem solving
The coaching is spread over three months—from March 2011
onwards. The package is highly interactive and conceptual in
its approach. The TUNE Faculty is easily accessible for
answering students' queries. Effective and conceptual
communication needs a highly conducive environment. TUNE
creates that environment through its highly interactive and
friendly program delivery.

TUNE NET PEDAGOGY
EXACTNESS
Ø Tune has India's leading faculty base
Ø Mentors of several past rankers
Ø Authors of several well known books
Ø Well-equipped classrooms
Ø Satellite-based interactive classes
Ø Structured courseware
Ø Latest pedagogy
The pedagogy follows the EEP framework to address the
following intrinsic challenges of this examination:
The challenge is to complete the answer within the given
“word limit.” If the word limit is low, such as 30/50 words, a
point-form answer will help in highlighting the relevant issue.
Most students fail to structure their answer as per the
requirement. Due to this, examiners are not able to
appreciate the student's learning and understanding of the
subject.
This first “E” of the EEP framework addresses this aspect of
exactness by developing students' minds to arrange their
required material within the boundaries of the word limit.
There is huge emphasis on practice so that the mind gets
trained to naturally think in the required manner.

GLIMPSE OF THE STUDY MATERIAL
ESSENCE
PRESENTATION
Some management theories are very
confusing and, therefore, gaining
conceptual clarity about the topic is a
challenge. Essence—the second “E” of
the EEP framework—addresses this
aspect. The in-depth course curriculum
is based on fundamentals that capture
the essence of the topic through
coverage of “Definition” and pictorial
elements.
In descriptive questions, presentation is
the key focus. The TUNE pedagogy lays
significant emphasis on preparing
students to develop the habit of good
presentation, so that the examiner is
able to distinguish the student from the
rest.
Our faculty has practised the EEP
pedagogy thoroughly, and are best
suited to guide the NET aspirants. The
faculty has developed comprehensive
study material. A few samples of the
study material are included here for your
reference.

120. Classical conditioning is associated with:
(a) Repetition (b) Generalisation
(c) Discrimination (d) All
Ans 20 [a]
Classical Conditioning is a form of associative learning that was first
demonstrated by Ivan Pavlov (1927). If the conditioned stimulus (CS) and
the unconditioned response (UR) are REPEATEDLY paired, eventually the
two stimuli become associated and the organism begins to produce a
behavioral response to the CS. Pavlov called this the conditioned response
(CR).
150. Under monopoly market structure, the
degree of freedom in pricing decision is:
(a) Very low (b) Quite good
(c) Very high (d) Zero
Ans [b]
Example: Assume that under a uniform pricing
system the monopolist would sell five units of
product at a price of Rs 10 per unit. Assume that
his marginal cost is 5 per unit. Total revenue would
be Rs 50, total costs would be Rs 25 and profits
would be Rs 25.
If the monopolist practiced price discrimination he
would sell the first unit for Rs 50 the second unit for Rs 40 and so on. Total revenue would be Rs 150, his total cost would be Rs 25 and his profit
would be Rs 125.00.
Several things are worth noting. The monopolist captures all the consumer surplus and eliminates practically all the deadweight loss because
he is willing to sell to anyone who is willing to pay at least the marginal cost.
Thus the price discrimination promotes efficiency. Secondly, under the pricing scheme price = average revenue and equals marginal revenue.
That is, the monopolist is behaving like a perfectly competitive firm. Thirdly, the discriminating monopolist produces a larger quantity than the
monopolist operating under a uniform pricing scheme.
Hence under monopoly market structure, the degree of freedom is quite good.
Jean Baptiste Say
140. 'Supply creates its own demand' is known as:
(a) Keyresian law (b) Say's law
(c) Veblen law (d) Giffin law
Ans 50 [b]
"Supply creates its own demand," This law was developed at a time when economists had begun to notice that
the economic system could be subject to "crises," periods that today we call recessions. They did not have the
economic statistics that we now have to identify these periods, but traders and merchants were aware of them
through increased bankruptcies, slower trade, an increase in beggars, and sometimes runs on banks
