UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2017 - FINAL TOURNAMENT DRAW Tuesday 8 November 2016 - 17.30CET (17.30 local time)Match press kit Netherlands, Rotterdam
How the draw will workFour pots have been formed, based on each team's ranking in the UEFA Women's National Team Coefficients.
SeedingsPot 1*: Germany (holders), France, England
Pot 2: Norway, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland
Pot 3: Italy, Iceland, Scotland, Denmark
Pot 4: Austria, Belgium, Russia, Portugal
*Hosts the Netherlands will be placed in position 1 of Group A
Procedure• After the Netherlands are automatically placed in position 1 of Group A, the other Pot 1 teams will be drawn to fillthat berth in remaining sections. Each group will then be allocated one team each from the remaining three pots, drawn in the order Pot 4, Pot 3 and Pot 2.
• The draw ceremony will presented by Dutch sports journalist Diana Kuip and be conducted by the all-timeNetherlands top scorer Manon Melis, and a member of Germany's UEFA Women's EURO 2013 winning side, NadineKessler.
Competition format• The Netherlands will be in Group A, playing group games in Utrecht, Rotterdam and Tilburg.
• Each team will play their three group games in three different venues, with cities staging at least one game fromeach group and a knockout match except for Utrecht, and also Enschede, which only hosts a semi-final and the final.
Ticket salesTicket sales will be launched at the draw ceremony and go on sale from www.weuro2017.nl/tickets at 19:00CET on 8November.
One to watch: Vivianne Miedema (forward, Bayern München)
What to watch out for: Having made their breakthrough as the steely defensive side that reached the EURO semi-finals on debut under Vera Pauw, the Netherlands have become a team more in the classic Dutch mould under firstRoger Reijners and, for the last 12 months, Van der Laan. With the former still in charge, they earned a FIFAWomen's World Cup bow in 2015, narrowly losing to eventual runners-up Japan in the last 16.
With no qualification duties this time, they have kept themselves busy: their 7-0 win in Scotland and 4-2 loss inGermany in October were their tenth and 11th games of 2016, with Belgium and England to come this month. Therecent retirement of forward Manon Melis has put the spotlight even more firmly on Miedema, whose goals – with theyoungster fresh from winning the 2014 WU19 EURO – propelled the Netherlands to the World Cup.

UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2017 - FINAL TOURNAMENT DRAW Tuesday 8 November 2016 - 17.30CET (17.30 local time)Match press kit Netherlands, Rotterdam
How they qualified: Group 5 winners, W8 D0 L0 F35 A0 Pts24
Coach: Steffi Jones
One to watch: Anja Mittag (forward, Wolfsburg)
What to watch out for: Germany's reign as European champions now stands at over two decades and they are on totheir fourth coach in that time: the late Gero Bisanz handing over to Tina Theune, herself succeeded by Silvia Neid, who stepped down in favour of Jones after leading German to their first Olympic gold in Brazil this August.
Jones's appointment had been announced well in advance and the former defender had been added to the coachingteam, ensuring a smooth succession which is matched on the pitch. Even as the likes of Nadine Angerer, SaskiaBartusiak, Nadine Kessler and Célia Šašić retire, the production line guarantees Germany's machine rolls on,currently on a run of eight straight victories. The team to beat, still.

France - Team profile
FranceEURO 2013: Quarter-finals
EURO best: Quarter-finals (2009, 2013)
How they qualified: Group 3 winners, W8 D0 L0 F27 A0 Pts24
Coach: Olivier Echouafni
One to watch: Camille Abily (midfielder, Lyon)
What to watch out for: In terms of raw talent, France perhaps ought to have been the dominant nation in Europe inrecent years, rather than having suffered a series of quarter-final near-misses, at global level as well as in the pasttwo EUROs. The UEFA Women's Champions League supremacy of Lyon, with a very similar squad to Les Bleues, isproof of that.
But it has not happened and three years after replacing Bruno Bini as coach, Philippe Bergeroo has himself made wayfor Olivier Echouafni. Can he help France turn their habitual superiority in big matches into goals? That is the key forthe team who, on paper, should be Germany's strongest challengers.

England - Team profile
EnglandEURO 2013: Group stage
EURO best: Runners-up (1984, 2009)
How they qualified: Group 7 winners, W7 D1 L0 F32 A1 Pts22
Coach: Mark Sampson
One to watch: Steph Houghton (defender, Manchester City)
What to watch out for: With England transformed into serious contenders by long-serving manager Hope Powell, thedisappointment of 2013 prompted her departure and the appointment of young Welshman Mark Sampson. A surpriserun to World Cup bronze in 2015, beating Germany in the third-place play-off, was perhaps England's greatestperformance and the increasing professionalism of the domestic league has given Sampson a greater pool of talent topick from than his predecessors ever had.
With Alex Scott, Casey Stoney, Jill Scott, Fara Williams and Karen Carney all having more than 100 caps, and talentslike Demi Stokes and Nikita Parris emerging, England have a potent blend – even if, like France, they have recentlystruggled for goals against the top sides (the two in fact drew 0-0 in October).

UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2017 - FINAL TOURNAMENT DRAW Tuesday 8 November 2016 - 17.30CET (17.30 local time)Match press kit Netherlands, Rotterdam
How they qualified: Group 8 winners, W7 D1 L0 F29 A2 Pts22
Coach: vacant
One to watch:Ada Hegerberg (forward, Lyon)
What to watch out for: In men's football they talk of Germany as a 'tournament team' but in the female game Norwayhave a claim to that title. They have exceeded expectations at the last three EUROs, getting to two finals and the2009 last four, despite not possessing a squad to match their 1995 world champions or 2000 Olympic gold medallists.
Just like four years ago, they have qualified only to then change coach – this time Roger Finjord has departed, theassistant to Even Pellerud up until summer 2015 citing the commute to Oslo from his home in northern Norway as thecause. Results had also been mixed but Finjord's successor will inherit an exciting forward line of UEFA BestWomen's Player in Europe 2015/16 Hegerberg, fit-again Caroline Graham Hansen and a re-inspired IsabellHerlovsen.

SwedenEURO 2013: Semi-finals
EURO best: Winners (1984)
How they qualified: Group 4 winners, W7 D0 L1 F22 A3 Pts2
Coach: Pia Sundhage
One to watch:Lotta Schelin (forward, Rosengård)
What to watch out for: The Swedes are often polar opposites to Norway, tipped heavily before a tournament only tofall short (hence surprise losses to their neighbours in the 2005 semis and 2009 quarters). But following a 2011 WorldCup bronze, they have found a new toughness since Sundhage returned from the United States to take charge priorto the 2013 finals on home soil.
Only an epic 1-0 semi-final defeat by Germany denied them a dream decider against Norway, and Sweden took afurther step forward when they ground down both the US and Brazil to make the 2016 Olympic final. Though Germanytook gold, Sweden had shown their ability to steer a knockout course, though losing their last qualifier in Denmark costthem top seeding in the EURO draw.

Spain - Team profile
SpainEURO 2013: Quarter-finals
EURO best: Semi-finals (1997)
How they qualified: Group 2 winners, W8 D0 L0 F39 A2 Pts24
Coach: Jorge Vilda
One to watch: Verónica Boquete (forward, Paris Saint-Germain)
What to watch out for: Having ended a 16-year finals absence in 2013 and then made it to the World Cup, Spainwere finally fulfilling the promise that perennial success at youth level had hinted at. The coach at the helm for severalof those junior victories, Vilda subsequently took over after the Spaniards' early World Cup exit with the task ofestablishing Spain firmly in the top tier.
Their core of players from Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, plus Paris duo Boquete and Irene Paredes, have the abilityto make the breakthrough, and performances like the 3-2 triumph over England in the 2013 finals show the capabilityof a side gaining in experience.

Switzerland - Team profile
SwitzerlandEURO 2013: Fourth in qualifying group
EURO best: First qualification
How they qualified: Group 6 winners, W8 D0 L0 F34 A3 Pts24
Coach: Martina Voss-Tecklenburg
One to watch: Ramona Bachmann (forward, Wolfsburg)
What to watch out for: Like Spain, Switzerland have begun to turn youth-finals potency into senior success. Theirmajor step forward came with reaching the last World Cup, comfortably seeing off Iceland and Denmark to book adebut final tournament, where a 10-1 thrashing of Ecuador took them into the last 16.
They were even more convincing in qualifying for their first European finals, with Italy (and everyone else, in fact)beaten home and away. Former Germany player Voss-Tecklenburg has enabled a team with a talented attackincluding Bachmann, Lara Dickenmann and Ana-Maria Crnogorčević to realise their potential.

UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2017 - FINAL TOURNAMENT DRAW Tuesday 8 November 2016 - 17.30CET (17.30 local time)Match press kit Netherlands, Rotterdam
How they qualified: Group 6 runners-up, W6 D0 L2 F26 A8 Pts18
Coach: Antonio Cabrini
One to watch: Melania Gabbiadini (forward, Verona)
What to watch out for: Only Norway can match Italy's record of qualifying for 11 final tournaments and theAzzurre have never gone out before the last eight of any EURO – but they will not travel to the Netherlands among thefavourites. While the Italians lost narrowly to Germany in the 2009 and 2013 quarter-finals, a qualifying campaign inwhich they were beaten home and away by Switzerland is more representative of their actual form – especially sincelong-standing forward Patrizia Panico switched to coaching the men's Under-16s.
That is not to undervalue a team with Sara Gama, Alice Parisi and Melania Gabbiadini (sister of Napoli's Manolo), yeta 3-2 victory against Scotland in the 2015 Cyprus Cup remains Italy's solitary win against any of the other 15qualifiers since UEFA Women's EURO 2013.

IcelandEURO 2013: Quarter-finals
EURO best: Quarter-finals (2013)
How they qualified: Group 1 winners, W7 D0 L1 F34 A2 Pts21
Coach: Feryr Alexandersson
One to watch: Sara Björk Gunnarsdóttir (midfielder, Rosengård)
What to watch out for: Long before Iceland's heroics at UEFA EURO 2016, the women had established themselvesat the top level, qualifying in 2009 and getting through their group four years later. They achieved qualification thistime with relative ease, only dropping points in a last-match defeat by Scotland with a finals place already secure.
The goals of Margrét Lára Vidarsdóttir (other than during a spell of maternity leave) have continued to propel theIcelanders, aided by the long-standing creative hub of Hólmfrídur Magnúsdóttir, Harpa Thorsteinsdóttir and Sara BjörkGunnarsdóttir, and backed up by Dagný Brynjarsdóttir and Fanndís Fridriksdóttir. A tendency to ship goals in thebiggest games has been their Achilles heel, however.

ScotlandEURO 2013: Play-offs
EURO best: First qualification
How they qualified: Group 1 runners-up, W7 D0 L1 F30 A7 Pts21
Coach: Anna Signeul
One to watch: Kim Little (forward, Arsenal)
What to watch out for: In 2009 they were pipped in the play-offs by Russia on away goals, and four years later theyconceded twice deep into extra time in Spain to be foiled at the last. Yet after those near-misses, Scotland are now intheir first final tournament, dropping points in qualifying only at home to Iceland.
The Scots' Swedish coach Anna Signeul, in charge since 2005 and comfortably the longest-serving of the 16 in theNetherlands, possesses a core of talented players with over or approaching 100 caps: goalkeeper Gemma Fay,defenders Rachel Corsie, Ifeoma Dieke and Jennifer Beattie, midfielders Jo Love and Leanne Ross, plus forwardsKim Little and Jane Ross. Heavy defeats in recent friendlies by Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands show thatSigneul will require her key players to be fit in the summer, though the return of Little to Arsenal from the UnitedStates should help her planning.

UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2017 - FINAL TOURNAMENT DRAW Tuesday 8 November 2016 - 17.30CET (17.30 local time)Match press kit Netherlands, Rotterdam
Denmark - Team profile
DenmarkEURO 2013: Semi-finals
EURO best: Semi-finals (1984, 1991, 1993, 2001, 2013)
How they qualified: Group 4 runners-up, W6 D1 L1 F22 A1 Pts19
Coach: Nils Nielsen
One to watch: Pernille Harder (forward, Linköping)
What to watch out for: Their run to the 2013 semi-finals – beating France on penalties before falling to Norway bythe same method – ended a long period of disappointments at big tournaments for Denmark (even if they did not winany of their five games in 90 minutes and needed the drawing of lots to pip Russia to the last eight as a best third-placed team). They also began 2017 qualifying slowly but were to come good, culminating in an impressive scalp ofSweden.
The Danes boast an array of talented attackers, with Pernille Harder leading a line including Nadia Nadim, SanneTroelsgaard, Johanna Rasmussen and Katrine Veje. Goalkeeper Stina Petersen, meanwhile, made her name in the2013 finals after an injury to first-choice Heidi Johansen, and her defence let in just one goal during qualifying.

UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2017 - FINAL TOURNAMENT DRAW Tuesday 8 November 2016 - 17.30CET (17.30 local time)Match press kit Netherlands, Rotterdam
How they qualified: Group 8 runners-up, W5 D2 L1 F18 A4 Pts17
Coach: Dominik Thalhammer
One to watch:Nina Burger (forward, Sand)
What to watch out for: Austria will be making their major tournament debut in the Netherlands, but the fact they wereseeded second in their group (a ranking they justified handsomely) shows that this has been coming for a while. Theyreached the 2013 play-offs, having been pipped to automatic qualification on goal difference, and were second behindFrance in their 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying group.
Indeed, from their April 2014 World Cup qualifying loss to France to a 1-0 home defeat by Norway some two yearsand a day later, Austria went 18 games unbeaten – holding the likes of Spain and Italy and seeing off teams such asAustralia during one nine-match winning run. In an October friendly they also came from two down in Germany todraw level, even if they eventually succumbed 4-2.

Belgium - Team profile
BelgiumEURO 2013: Third in qualifying group
EURO best: First qualification
How they qualified: Group 7 runners-up, W5 D2 L1 F27 A5 Pts17
Coach: Ives Serneels
One to watch: Tessa Wullaert (forward, Wolfsburg)
What to watch out for: A gradual improvement since Ives Serneels took over in 2011 has resulted in a maidenqualification for Belgium. In 2013 qualifying, they were just two points behind second-placed Iceland (and four offNorway), losing only one of their four games against that pair.
A similarly promising showing in 2015 World Cup qualifying boosted their seeding for this tournament, and theycomfortably made it through behind England, whom they held away from home. Foreign club experience for the likesof Justien Odeurs, Lorca Van de Putte, Janice Cayman and all-time top scorer Tessa Wullaert has certainly enhancedtheir credentials.

RussiaEURO 2013: Group stage
EURO best: Group stage (1997, 2001, 2009, 2013)
How they qualified: Group 5 runners-up, W4 D2 L2 F14 A9 Pts14
Coach: Elena Fomina
One to watch: Elena Terekhova (midfielder, Rossiyanka)
What to watch out for: Russia have tended to falter in the group stage as reliably as they have qualified, though theywere unfortunate in 2013 to miss out on the quarter-finals via a drawing of lots with Denmark. This time round, only a5-0 victory in their last qualifier against Croatia ensured the Russians avoided a play-off by virtue of goals scored, ahead of fellow runner-up Romania, and recent results have not been promising.
The base of the team is formed by the talents that won the 2005 UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship, including Elvira Todua in goal, Anna Kozhnikova and Ksenia Tsybutovich in defence, plus Elena Terekhova, ElenaMorozova and the prolific but injury-plagued Elena Danilova further forward. Elena Fomina took over as coach in 2015having often been the hero on the pitch.

PortugalEURO 2013: Fourth in qualifying group
EURO best: First qualification
How they qualified: Group 2 runners-up, W4 D1 L3 F15 A11 Pts13, won play-off v Romania (agg: 1-1, Portugal wonon away goal)
Coach: Francisco Neto
One to watch: Cláudia Neto (midfielder, Linköping)
What to watch out for: All the other finals debutants commenced qualifying in the second tier of seeds, but Portugalwere drawn from Pot 4 and ranked 25th of the 40 competing countries. Even so, they overhauled both the Republic ofIreland and Finland to earn a play-off, beating the latter in a memorable comeback from two goals down, Cláudia Netohitting a hat-trick in a 3-2 triumph.
It was the third time they had been one two-legged tie away from the finals and, despite being held 0-0 at home byRomania, the return fixture ended 1-1 after extra time, a strike from debutant Andreia Norton securing Portugal asurprise EURO place on away goals. While they have experience of facing the elite sides from hosting the annualAlgarve Cup each March, this is a huge step up for the Portuguese, even with a squad containing players with foreignknow-how like Neto, Chelsea's Ana Borges and Bayer Leverkusen's Ana Leite.
