UDL

Universal Design for Learning calls for ...

Multiple means of representation, to give learners various ways of acquiring

information and knowledge, Multiple means of action and

expression, to provide learners alternatives for demonstrating what they

know, Multiple means of engagement, to tap

into learners' interests, offer appropriate challenges, and increase motivation.

UDL Approach

• Students explore the aspects of culture and literature pertaining to Romeo and Juliet that most interests them in order to make lasting connections.

• Project-based assessment that includes a presentation/speaking component and a writing piece—This leads to authentic writing about the choices they made in completing the project and what it meant to them rather than plagiarized examples of literary analysis.

•Multiple choices
