The Bruin IMG Radio Network will radio broadcast the contest which will also be aired over Sirius/XM, uclabruins.com, ESPN Radio and tunein.com and the TuneIn App. The Cardinal have won the last nine meetings in the series (0-5 at Stanford and 0-4 at UCLA). The Bruins had captured the previous five meetings in the series, including wins at Stanford in 2007 and 2005. This is the first time that neither team owns a national ranking heading into the game since 2009. In the last meeting played at Stanford in 2016, the Cardinal jumped out to a 35-17 halftime lead and used 369 all-purpose yards from Christian McCaffrey to post a 56-35 win. The Bruins racked up 506 yards of total offense. Josh Rosen completed 22 of 42 attempts for 325 yards and three touchdowns, including a 70-yard scoring strike to Darren Andrews. Kenny Young had 13 tackles. UCLA‘s last win in the series came by a score of 23-20 in a 2008 Homecoming game in the Rose Bowl. Quarterback Kevin Craft completed six straight passing attempts during an 11-play scoring drive which culminated on a 7-yard toss to tight end Cory Harkey with 10 seconds to play. The Bruins most recent win on the Farm came in the 2007 season-opener, by a score of 45-17, spoiling Jim Harbaugh’s debut as Cardinal head coach. Ben Olson threw five scoring passes during that contest and Kahlil Bell ran for 195 yards to lead the Bruins attack. In 2005, UCLA made one of its greatest comebacks in school history at Stanford after rallying from a 21-point deficit (3-24) in the fourth quarter for an overtime win. When the Cardinal converted a UCLA fumble into a touchdown, it led 24-3 with just 8:26 remaining in the game. The Bruins answered with a 65-yard scoring drive in 1:22, which was capped off by a scoring run by Maurice Jones-Drew. The Bruin defense forced a three-and-out on the next series, and just 34 seconds later quarterback Drew Olson drove the team 72 yards, hitting Joe Cowan for a 31-yard touchdown to make it 24-17 with 4:43 to go. The Bruin defense allowed one first down on Stanford’s next possession, and following Jones-Drew’s 10-yard punt return UCLA took over on its own 34-yard line with 2:30 on the clock. Olson found Marcedes Lewis on third down for a gain of 20 to the Stanford 41-yard line. Two consecutive pass interference calls on Stanford then moved the ball to the 14. On fourth-and-one, Olson hit Cowan at the one-yard line for a first down, and Jones- Drew took it in from there with 46 seconds to play. In overtime, Stanford kicked a 42-yard field goal to begin the extra period. On the second play of UCLA’s possession, Olson connected with Brandon Breazell in the corner of the end zone from 23-yards out for the win. THE WATCH LIST— • UCLA is looking for its first win on the Farm since 2007 and its first win over the Cardinal since 2008. • A win over Stanford would be the 599th overall in UCLA football program history. The Bruins played their first games in the 1919 season. • Josh Rosen leads the nation in passing yards (1,283), passing touchdowns (13), points responsible for (84), points responsible for per game (28.0)...He ranks fourth in the nation in total offense yards per game (428.0). • UCLA is 4-1 in first Pac-12 road games of a season under Coach Mora. • Darren Andrews’ 65-yard third quarter touchdown reception at Memphis was his sixth in 2017, a total which leads the nation. He entered the year with five career touchdown receptions in his first three seasons of action. He needs nine more catches to tie Taylor Embree (137) for 10th on the all-time school list for receptions. • Rosen’s 13 scoring passes in the last three games ties Drew Olson, who threw 13 in three straight 2005 games. The quarterback with the most for four games is Drew Olson with 15 in 2005. • The Bruins’ 633-yards of total offense at Memphis was the most since compiling 674 yards in a 2015 win at Oregon State. It is the seventh time the Bruins have racked up at least 600 yards of offense since 2012. • Josh Rosen (491 v. A&M, 463 at Memphis) is one shy of Cade McNown’s school mark for most 350-yard passing games in a season of 3 ... His performance at Memphis was Rosen’s sixth career 350-yard passing game which ties him with McNown (6) for the most in school history. • The win over Hawai’i was victory #43 for Coach Mora, who is in fifth on the all-time Bruin coaching win list. Coach Mora needs seven more Ws to become just the fourth UCLA head man to reach the 50-win mark (Terry Donahue - 151, Bill Spaulding - 72, Red Sanders - 66, Bob Toledo 49) • Josh Rosen is 11 yards shy of tying Cory Paus for 4th on the all-time UCLA career passing yards list (Currently 6,866 yds). • The Memphis contest marked the 12th-straight game in which Rosen has thrown at least one TD pass (a feat also accomplished by Brett Hundley, 2012-13; Tommy Maddox, 1990-91) ... He has at least one scoring pass in 21 of his 22 career games (not Washington State) ... The Memphis game was the 8th in which he has at least 3 TD passes. • At Memphis, Darren Andrews (12 vs. Texas A&M, 10 at Memphis) became the first Bruin receiver since Craig Bragg (10 vs. Oklahoma, 10 vs. Oregon in 2003) to record double-digit receptions in two games in the same season. Andrews is just the third Bruin receiver to do so (also J.J. Stokes 10 vs. Washington, 14 vs. Wisconsin in the 1993 season). No Bruin receiver has done it more than twice in a season. Stokes is the all-time school leader with three for his career. • Josh Rosen needs four more touchdown passes to tie Tom Ramsey, 1979-82, for fourth on the all-time school list with 50. • Josh Rosen needs one more career 350-yard total offense game to tie the school record of 8 held by Brett Hundley, 2012-14, and Cade McNown, 1995-98. • The 170 yards rushing at Memphis was the most by the Bruins since last season’s 219-yard performance in game 2 vs. UNLV.

Mora, with the losses coming on the road last season at Texas A&M and this year at Memphis.
• UCLA is 18-12 in true road games under Coach Mora– ‘17: 0-1, ‘16: 1-5, ‘15: 4-2, ‘14: 5-0, ‘13: 4-2, ‘12: 4-2 and 13-9 in regular season

Holmes...DL Nick Terry made his fi rst start vs. Hawai’i...LB Keisean Lucier-South, DB Will Lockett, DL Chigozie Nnoruka, LB Krys Barnes made
fi rst starts at Memphis.
• Josh Rosen’s 463 passing yards vs. Memphis rank as the fi fth-most in school history...His 495 total yards of offense at Memphis rank as third-
most in school annals ... His 56 passing attempts were tied for fourth-most at the school and his 34 completions were tied for third-most ever.
• Dating back to 1980, Rosen’s 88% completion performance vs. Hawai’i (22-25) rates as the second-best by a Bruin QB behind Rick Neuheisel’s
25-27 effort (.925) in a 1983 game vs. Washington.
• Darnay Holmes’ 30-yard interception return vs. Hawai’i was the 13th defensive score for the Bruins since 2012.
• After his efforts at Memphis, Rosen joined Brett Hundley (2012) as the only UCLA quarterbacks to have thrown for three 300-yard passing
games in a row during the same season.
• Seven members of last year’s UCLA defensive unit are with NFL teams in one capacity or another, including three defensive linemen (DL
Takkarist McKinley, DL Eli Ankou, DL Eddie Vanderdoes), three members of the secondary (DB Marcus Rios, DB Randall Goforth, DB Fabian
Moreau) and last year’s leading tackler (LB Jayon Brown).
• Three dads of current Bruins are working as assistant coaches in the NFL - TE Austin Roberts (Alfredo- Chargers RB coach), TE Caleb Wilson

Lacy - 21; Quessenberry has the longest starting streak on the team for a position player with 15.
• UCLA is 30-8 under Coach Mora when scoring fi rst in a game.
• UCLA has posted a 13-11 overall record against ranked opponents under Coach Mora and has won seven of the last 12.
• Since the start of the 2012 season, UCLA has won 23 of 28 games (82%) when winning the turnover battle and owns a record of 20-21
(48.7%) in games when losing or tying the turnover ratio.
• UCLA’s total of 25 draftees in the last fi ve NFL Drafts is the most of any Pac-12 school during that stretch and include a fi rst-round selection
in four of the past fi ve drafts.
• LB Krys Barnes leads the Bruins in tackles with 18 this season ... He posted a career-high 12 tackles in the win over Hawaii’i ... The true sophomore, who
made his fi rst career start at Memphis, had a total of three career tackles coming into the UH game.
• True freshmen played: 2017: 4, 2016: 11, 2015: 10, 2014: 9, 2013: 18, 2012:12 --- True freshmen who have seen action in 2017: DB Darnay
Holmes, DL Jaelan Phillips, DB Mo Osling III, DL Martin Andrus.
• In addition to the true freshmen, players seeing their fi rst career action vs. Texas A&M include: WR Damian Alloway, OL Michael Alves, LB
Breland Brandt, OL Jake Burton, LB Mique Juarez, DL Marcus Moore, DL Osa Odighizuwa, DL Chigozie Nnoruka, DB Keyon Riley, LB Leni
Toailoa, TE Jordan Wilson. WR Demetric Felton saw his fi rst career action vs. Hawai’i.
• The Bruins are 37-3 under Coach Mora when ahead at the half.
• Tight end Caleb Wilson’s 15 catches vs. Texas A&M established a new UCLA school record (WR J.J. Stokes had 14 vs. Wisconsin in 1994
Rose Bowl game and WR Jordan Payton had 14 vs. Washington State in 2015) ... Wilson was just the third Bruin receiver to go over the 200
receiving yards mark with his 208-yard effort vs. A&M (Stokes holds school mark with 263 yards vs. USC, 1992; WR Craig Bragg had 230 vs.
Oregon in 2002)...Wilson’s previous career highs were 4 catches vs. USC, last season, and 83 receiving yards at Cal in 2016.
• The Bruins started two true freshmen (DL Jaelan Phillips and DB Darnay Holmes) on defense for the fi rst time ever in a season-opener vs. A&M.
• Quarterback Josh Rosen’s 491-yard passing effort vs. Texas A&M was the third-most in school history behind only Cade McNown who had
513 vs. Miami in 1998 and Drew Olson who threw for 510 vs. Arizona State in 2005. Rosen threw for 292 yards in the fourth quarter alone.
• Rosen’s 59 passing attempts vs. Texas A&M were the second-most in school history (Mike Fafaul /FAY-full/ 70 vs. Utah, 2016) ... Rosen’s 35
completions also rank second behind Fafaul’s total of 40 in that same Utah game.
• UCLA had six sacks vs. Texas A&M, the most since producing the same number vs. Washington State in 2015.
• Adarius Pickett recorded a career-best 11 tackles vs. Texas A&M. He also got a hand on the last fi eld goal attempt by Texas A&M which would
have put the Aggies in front 47-31 with a little over eight minutes to play. Pickett also served as the Bruin punt returner.
• Darren Andrews’ 12 catches vs. Texas A&M are the fourth-most catches in a game by a Bruin ... Only C. Wilson (15), Stokes (14) and Payton (14)
have made more in a contest. Last season, Andrews became the 35th Bruin to reach the 1,000-receiving yards mark (vs. Colorado) ... The
two previous seasons, Andrews hauled in 98 passes for 1,152 yards and no returning Pac-12 player had caught more passes than Andrews
over those two previous seasons (CU’s Shay Fields also had 98 entering play in 2017).
• Wilson’s (15) and Andrews’ (12) total of 27 catches vs. A&M made them the most productive receiving tandem in Bruin single-game history.
• The Texas A&M game marked the second time in school history UCLA has had three 100-yard receivers in the same contest --- Caleb WIlson
(208), Darren Andrews (142), Jordan Lasley (100). The only other time was in a 2005 game vs. Arizona State (Chris Markey 120, Joe Cowan
109, Marcedes Lewis 108).
• Punter Stefan Flintoft boomed a 63-yarder in the fi rst quarter against Texas A&M which was the longest of his career.
• The Bruin comeback from 34 points down (10-44 with 4:08 remaining in the 3rd quarter ranks as the second-greatest number of points over-
come to win a game between FBS Teams --- Michigan State rallied from a 35-point defi cit (3-38 at 9:54 of 3rd quarter) against Northwestern
in a 41-38 win during a 2006 game.
• In fi ve of the eight Bruin losses in 2016, UCLA had the ball with a fi nal possession and an opportunity to tie or take the lead.
• UCLA has won 28 straight overall games and 47 straight regular season games in which it has held the opponent to less than 20 points (last
loss 17-16 to BYU in 2007 Las Vegas Bowl / last regular season loss 16-14 at Colorado 2003).
No. 42 - THE LAST SEASON ON THE GRIDIRON
In 2014, on the 75th anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s arrival at UCLA, Athletics Director Dan Guerrero announced that the school was
retiring number 42 across all sports. While he wore several numbers at UCLA, Jackie Robinson made the number 42 as iconic as the man
himself. Then freshman linebacker Kenny Young was able to continue wearing the number for the duration of his Bruin career and now
enters his senior season in 2017.
In conjunction with UCLA, the City of Pasadena and the Rose Bowl Operating Committee, the Rose Bowl subsequently unveiled
Robinson’s iconic #42 near the east scoreboard and have made it a permanent fi xture in the stadium. UCLA has permanently displayed
Robinson’s number 42 inside each of its athletic competition venues. In addition, a series of 22 athletic and recreation facilities across
campus were named the Jackie Robinson Athletics and Recreation Complex. Chief among the campus’ recognition of the complex is an
in-ground number 42 at each entry point to UCLA’s training centers, competition sites, fi elds and stadiums as a reminder of Robinson’s
tremendous courage in the face of adversity.
From 1939 to 1941, Robinson starred in four sports at UCLA. In football, Robinson played both offense and defense, returned punts,
caught and threw passes, kicked extra points and in the process, earned honorable mention All-American accolades. In basketball, he
twice led the Pacifi c Coast Conference in scoring. In track, he won the NCAA championship in the broad jump. And in baseball, he began
his legendary journey as a highly-regarded shortstop for the Bruins.

2017 UCLA FOOTBALL
UCLA HEAD COACH JIM MORA On December 10, 2011, former Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks head coach Jim Mora was named UCLA’s 17th head
coach in school history. In his fi ve-plus seasons at the helm, Mora has led the Bruins to a pair of school-record tying 10-win
seasons, four bowl games, a Pac-12 South Division Championship. His Bruin teams have produced four of the top fi ve best
total offense season outputs in school history, as well as, the school single-game mark. Twenty-fi ve Bruins have heard their
names called in the past fi ve NFL Drafts, including a fi rst-round selection in four of the past fi ve drafts.
In 2016, the Bruins produced several top 25 national rankings in numerous offensive and defensive categories and had three
standouts selected to the fi rst-team All-Pac-12 squad. On defense, the team pass defense effi ciency rating was seventh in
the nation (105.8) and the total of 12 opponent touchdown passes was the fewest allowed by a conference school. Takkarist
McKinley, a fi rst-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, ranked among the top 11 in the nation, and second in the Pac-12, in both
sacks (0.91/g) and tackles for loss (1.6/g). McKinley was joined on the All-Pac-12 fi rst team by Jayon Brown, who topped the
Pac-12 and ranked ninth in the nation in total tackles (9.9/g). Kenny Young, sixth in the league in tackles (7.5), was named second-team All-Pac-12.
On offense, UCLA ranked 19th in the nation in passing offense with its 295.6 passing yards per game average. Center Scott Quessenberry was named
a fi rst-team All-Pac-12 performer. TE Nate Iese and OT Conor McDermott, a draft pick of the World Champion Patriots, earned second-team recognition.
Five Bruins in all were selected in the 2017 NFL Draft, making for a total of 21 players chosen in the past four drafts, the most over a four-year period
since the 1989-92 drafts produced 23 picks. The total of 25 players selected in the last fi ve drafts is the most of any Pac-12 school during that stretch.
The 2015 season saw Mora equal Terry Donahue’s school-best four-year win mark of 37 contests, extend the school’s win streak in games away from
the Rose Bowl to a school record total of 12 and participate in a fourth straight bowl game. Eight Bruins, including fi rst-round selection Kenny Clark
and second-round pick Myles Jack, were chosen in the draft, the most by the program since 1988. The total of eight players selected in the draft was
the most of any Pac-12 school and the most UCLA has ever had picked in the seven round draft format. Ka’imi Fairbairn was the program’s second
Lou Groza Award winner and became the conference’s all-time leading scorer; Jordan Payton emerged as the school’s all-time leading receiver; Paul
Perkins produced a second-straight 1,000-yard season; freshman QB Josh Rosen established multiple school milestones.
In 2014, Mora guided the Bruins to the ninth 10-win season in school history, matching the school record for wins in a season. It marked the third straight
year in which Mora’s Bruins had produced at least nine wins, a fi rst in program history,
and included a third consecutive win over USC. His 29 total wins are the most-ever by a
UCLA coach in his initial three seasons on the job. Following the victory in the 2015 Valero
Alamo Bowl, UCLA had captured wins in 10 straight games away from the Rose Bowl to
match that school record, including a school-best 7-0 slate in 2014. That bowl win was
also the team’s third victory of the season over an AP Top-15 ranked opponent, which was
the most by the program since it defeated four such teams in 1952. The Bruins capped
off the year ranked No. 10 in the fi nal AP poll, the highest for the program since 1998.
Eric Kendricks, who became the school’s all-time leading tackler during the season, went
on to be UCLA’s fi rst recipient of the Butkus Award and the program’s second-straight
winner of the Lott IMPACT Trophy. Brett Hundley set numerous school career records,
including bests for most touchdown passes and total offense. Perkins led the Pac-12 in rushing, the fi rst time for a Bruin since 2001, and produced
the second-highest rushing yardage total in school history.
In 2013, Mora led the Bruins to the eighth 10-win season in school history, tying the school mark for most wins in a season. UCLA remained in the AP
rankings throughout the full season for the fi rst time since 1998. LB Anthony Barr was selected as a fi rst-team All-America and as the school’s fi rst
winner of the Lott IMPACT Trophy. A school record 18 true freshmen saw action during the season and seven true freshmen position players started
in a game to match that school record. Five Bruins, the most by the program since 2002, were selected in the 2014 NFL Draft, headed by Barr’s pick
at No. 9 overall by the Vikings.
In his fi rst year, Mora guided the Bruins to the 2012 South Division Championship of the Pac-12 Conference and equaled the school-record for wins
by a fi rst-year coach, with nine. The Bruins, who played in the Holiday Bowl, set numerous offensive records during the course of the season, including
establishing a new school rushing leader, in Johnathan Franklin, and several passing marks achieved by Hundley. On defense, Barr, in his fi rst season
as a linebacker, led the nation in sacks for a good portion of the year. Four players were selected in the 2013 NFL Draft, including defensive lineman
Datone Jones, in the fi rst round.
Mora, a former NFC Coach of the Year, came to UCLA after spending part of 2010 and most of 2011 as an analyst and contributor for the NFL Network
and the NFL on FOX. He brought 25 years of NFL coaching acumen with him to UCLA, including four years of NFL head coaching experience while at
the helm of the Atlanta Falcons (2004-06) and the Seattle Seahawks (2009).
Mora took over for Mike Holmgren as head coach of the Seahawks in 2009. He had served as assistant head coach and defensive backs coach for Seattle
in the 2007 and 2008 campaigns. The Seahawks went 10-6 and fi nished fi rst in the NFC West in 2007 and won the Wild Card game in the playoffs.
In his initial season as the head coach of Atlanta in 2004, Mora directed the team to an 11-5 record, becoming just the eighth rookie head coach in NFL
history to win 11 games and the 11th to bring home a Division title. The Falcons captured the NFC South title and earned an appearance in the NFC
Championship Game for only the second time in franchise history. Mora was selected as the NFC Coach of the Year. The Falcons’ defense improved
from a league ranking of 32nd in 2003 to No. 14 overall the next season, fueled by a league-leading and franchise record 48 quarterback sacks.
Atlanta topped the NFL in rushing in all three of Mora’s seasons as head coach. In 2006, Michael Vick became the fi rst quarterback in NFL history to
rush for at least 1,000 yards in a season.
Mora had joined the Falcons following a seven-season stint with the San Francisco 49ers (1997-2003). He spent his last fi ve seasons in San Francisco
as defensive coordinator. In his fi rst year, the 49ers fi nished No. 1 in the NFL in total defense. The 1998 squad tied for No. 1 in the NFC in interceptions,
with 21. The 1997 team advanced to the NFC Championship Game and had three defensive players voted to the Pro Bowl, while the 1998 and 2002
squads captured Wild Card Game wins.
From 1992-1996, Mora worked on the staff of his dad, Jim E. Mora, as the secondary coach with the New Orleans Saints. His defensive expertise began
to take shape and the Saints boasted the No. 1 pass defense in the NFL during his fi rst two years. In 1985, Mora broke into the NFL coaching ranks
with the Chargers, under head coach Don Coryell. He spent seven seasons with San Diego, advancing from the league’s fi rst quality control coaching
position to defensive backs coach, while working for head coaches Coryell, Al Saunders and Dan Henning.
NFL Pro Bowlers who have played under coach Mora over the years include -- Anthony Barr, LB-Minnesota; Julian Peterson, LB-Seattle and San
Francisco; Marcus Trufant, DB-Seattle; Allen Rossum, DB-Atlanta; Patrick Kerney, DL-Atlanta; Roderick Coleman, DL-Atlanta; Keith Brooking, LB-Atlanta;
Mora began his coaching career in 1984 at the University of Washington, where he joined the staff of Don James in the role of defensive assistant
following a four-year playing career as a defensive back for the Huskies. While at UW, Mora had the opportunity to be a part of two Rose Bowl teams
(1981-loss to Michigan/ 1982-win over Iowa) as a player, in addition to helping the Huskies land a berth in the 1985 Orange Bowl (win over Oklahoma)
as a graduate assistant. During his fi ve seasons in the Husky program, Washington compiled a 48-12 record, ranked among the nation’s top 10 teams
on three occasions, and did not fi nish lower than second in the Pac-10 standings.

2017 UCLA FOOTBALL
THE ROSE BOWL - HOME OF BRUIN FOOTBALL
The nation’s most famous college football stadium – The Rose Bowl – is-
now in its 36th season as the home of the UCLA Bruins football team. The
stadium is recognized as both a United States National Historic Landmark
and a California Historic Civil Engineering landmark.
The Rose Bowl was built specifi cally for football, but has been utilized as
a venue for portions of the 1932 Olympic Games’ cycling events and was
the soccer site for the 1984 Olympics. The Rose Bowl has also played
host to fi ve NFL Super Bowls – XI in 1977, XIV in 1980, XVII in 1983, XXI
in 1987 and XXVII in 1993. It was a venue for the 1994 World Cup and
the 1999 Women’s World Cup soccer tournaments, including the cham-
pionship games. The USA women’s soccer team victory over China in
the 1999 event drew over 90,000 fans. In addition, the 1983 Army-Navy
game was played in the Rose Bowl.
On Jan. 1, 2015, the Rose Bowl served as the site of one of the College
Football Playoff semifi nal games. The previous January, the Rose Bowl
hosted the fi nal BCS Championship contest. It had also played host to the
BCS Championship game in 2002, 2006 and 2010.
Considered an ideal concert venue, the Rose Bowl has hosted shows by
such groups and artists as Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean,
One Direction, U2, ‘N Sync, Eagles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Michael
Jackson, Metallica, Guns and Roses, Depeche Mode and Journey.
The iconic stadium is in the process of completing the fi nal touches on
a $181 million dollar renovation, and now features a new video board,
improved exiting, wider aisles in the end zones and the Terry Donahue
Pavilion. The Pavilion area houses the press boxes, broadcast booths,
premium seating, boxes and suites. In December of 2015, the radio and
TV booths were renamed “The Keith Jackson Broadcast Center”. Jackson,
the former sportscaster, coined the phrase “The Grandaddy of Them All”
for the Rose Bowl Game. Also added are fi eld level entrances and exits,
and additional concession stands and restroom facilities.
Since 2007, UCLA and its opponents have dressed in new locker rooms
located underneath the south concourse of the stadium. The locker area
features all of the latest amenities to benefi t the players, coaches, sports
medicine and equipment staffs. In addition, a new media interview room
and working press area were included in the upgrades. In 1998, new in-
dividual chairs were installed in the seating areas between the end zones.
Also, improved seating areas for the physically challenged were installed,
as well as a new sound system.
Completed in 1922 at a cost of $272,198, the Rose Bowl was fi rst used
for the USC-California football game that year which was won by the Gold-
en Bears 12-0. The stadium was originally horseshoe shaped and seated
57,000 persons when it hosted the 1923 Rose Bowl Game. The south end
zone was enclosed prior to the 1929 game to increase seating capacity
to 76,000. Further enlargements took place in 1932 (83,677) and 1949
(100,807). A record crowd of 106,869 fans witnessed the 1973 Ohio
State – USC Rose Bowl contest. With the current seating confi guration for
UCLA home games, the capacity is 80,616.
The Rose Bowl has many fi rsts in its vast history. On Jan. 1, 1927, ra-
dio stations across the nation were linked together for the fi rst time in
a coast-to-coast broadcast. On Jan. 1, 1954, The UCLA-Michigan State
Rose Bowl Game was the fi rst west-to-east color telecast on a nationwide
