The team at UCD Career Development Centre sends out a warm welcome to this year’s, Business, Finance & Management Recruitment Fair. You will be aware from press coverage and your career research that the Irish economy shows very real signs of recovery in many areas and sectors. We can see growth across accountancy and financial management and in areas such as financial services, management consultancy, insurance and banking that is likely to continue during this 2015/16 academic year. While graduate recruitment remains competitive, it is the case that many employers are recruiting large numbers of graduates often from a diverse range of academic subject areas. As such, my message to UCD’s students is to be positive and proactive - ask questions at our Fairs, resist the temptation to simply collect recruitment brochures! Most of all, remember that most exhibitors at this Fair are seeking to recruit across all disciplines.
