THESE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE INTENDED SOLELY FOR USE AS
INSTRUMENTS OF SERVICE TO THE CLIENT RETAINING CDG (CLARK DESIGN GROUP,
PC). ANY USE OR REPRODUCTION WITHOUT CDG’S CONSENT IS PROHIBITED. CDG

IF DOUBT EXISTS AS TO THE DESIGN INTENT, THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR & HIS

ASSESSMENT. IF DESIGN INTENT REMAINS UNCLEAR, THE GC WILL PREPARE A

1. SUBMIT A DETAILED WRITTEN RECOMMENDATION TO SATISFY THE CONDITION IN QUESTION.
2. ROUTE IT PROMPTLY TO THE OWNER OR HIS REPRESENTATIVE FOR REVIEW AND DETERMINATION.
INTERPRETATION OF THE BID DOCUMENTS
IF THERE IS ANY DOUBT ABOUT THE TRUE MEANING AND INTENT OF THE BID DOCUMENTS, OR IF DISCREPANCIES OR OMISSIONS ARE DISCOVERED WHICH WILL SIGNIFICANTLY ALTER THE PRICE, PERFORMANCE, CODE COMPLIANCE, OR COMPLETION OF THE WORK, THE BIDDER SHALL REQUEST A WRITTEN INTERPRETATION IN WRITING FROM THE ARCHITECT, NO LATER THAN 7 DAYS BEFORE THE BID DATE. SHOULD ANY CONFLICT OR INCONSISTENCY OCCURE IN OR BETWEEN THE DRAWINGS AND THE SPECIFICATIONS, THE CONTRACTOR IS DEEMED TO HAVE ESTIMATED ON THE GREATER QUANTITY OF WORK, THE HIGHEST PRICED MATERIAL OR EQUIPMENT INDICATED, AND ON THE MOST SATISFACTORY WAY OF DOING WORK, UNLESS IT SHALL HAVE ASKED FOR AND OBTAINED WRITTEN DECISION BEFORE SUBMISSION OF ITS BID AS TO WHICH METHODS OR MATERIALS WILL BE REQUIRED. SUBMISSION OF A BID SHALL INDICATE TO THE OWNER THAT THE CONTRACTOR HAS COMPLETELY REVIEWED THE BID DOCUMENTS AND IS SUFFICENTLY FAMILIAR WITH THE PROJECT TO SUBMIT A PROPER BID. THE SUBMISSION OF A BID INDICATES THAT THE CONTRACTOR IS PREPARED TO PROVIDE ALL MATERIALS, LABOR, AND SUPERVISION NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT. BARRING ANY UNFORESEEABLE CONDITIONS, THE CONTRACTOR CAN BUILD THE PROJECT AS PRESENTED IN THE DOCUMENTS AND CAN OBTAIN THE REQUIRED OCCUPANCY AND USE PERMITS REQUIRED FOR THE OWNER’S USE OF THE BUILDING.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR
SHALL BE LICENSED AND IN GOOD STANDING FOR THE LAWFUL EXECUTION OF THE
CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION WITHIN THE JURISDICTION(S) GOVERNING THE
PROJECT.
SHALL LET SUBCONTRACTS FOR THIS PROJECT ONLY TO ENTITIES WHO COMPLY WITH

IDENTIFYING BOTH SUBSTITUTE & BASE-BID PRODUCT FOR REVIEW AND
DETERMINATION. UNREVIEWED, UNAUTHORIZED SUBSTITUTES ARE NOT PERMITTED.

POSITION). 4. THE SERVICES OF AN INDEPENDENT TESTING FIRM, MUTUALLY
ACCEPTABLE TO CDG, FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE REPORTING ON SOLI CONDITIONS & COMPACTION, ROCK REMOVAL, & COMPLIANCE WITH SPECIFIED CONCRETE PERFORMANCE.
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WORKER & PUBLIC SAFETY
ASSOCIATED WITH THE EXECUTION OF WORK AT THE SITE. GC WILL COORDINATE THE
WORK OF THE TRADES AND COOPERATE WITH THE OWNER TO OBTAIN A SAFE SITE
