Downs) Neighbourhood Retail (Fortino's Plaza) District Retail (Trinity Commons – 410 &
Bovaird) Central Business District (Downtown Toronto)
Industrial (6%)
These are the factories (2 main types) Suburban business parks Ribbon industries (along railways,
highways, lake shores)
Institutional (10%)
Any land owned / operated by government (schools, hospitals, prisons, etc.)
Recreation / Open Space (7%)
Parks, community centres, etc. Floodplains left "natural" Any undeveloped land
Transportation
Roads, railways, canals, etc.
