TPI 204/3 Business Translation II
Spring The course will cover the reading and translation of materials related to such fields as banking operations and stock market. The course will also familiarize students with such documents as contracts, balance sheets, financial statements, invitation to bids etc. which are used in the business world.
Spring The aim of this course is to improve students’ consecutive interpreting skills by using the note-taking and bilateral interpretation techniques. They also learn how to deal with stage fright and how to get prepared for a conference. After these preparations are completed, students practice sight translation and consecutive translation through the use of manuscript of assorted speeches and presentations on a wide variety of topics.
Spring The project is a long translation work from Turkish To English. This project’s aim is to provide the students’ using their translation skills on translation. The student will write a detailed evaluation analyzing their projects.
Spring This course is sequence to Social text Translation I. In this course students study and translate texts in sociology, anthropology, psychology, geography, archeology and philosophy.
