Early Response Team Training to Be Offered Want to learn how you can assist neighbors and communities impacted by floods and tornadoes? Come to the January 11, 2020 Early Response Team (ERT) class where you will learn how to assist survivors of natural disasters in their time of need. As a member of an ERT, you will provide a Christian presence while taking steps to prevent further damage to the
family's personal property by tarping, debris removal and cleaning flooded homes. Federal Emergency Management Agency recognizes this training as an appropriate credential to enter a disaster area. A background check is required to receive a United Methodist Committee on Relief ERT badge. Once you register on-line, you will receive the link. Participants are encouraged to complete the background check prior to the class. Contact Dee Stickley-Miner at [email protected]; 614-844-6200. ____________________________________________________________________________________________

Please Pray for The People and Ministry Of North Katanga
The North Katanga Episcopal Area is one of the fastest growing in the United Methodist Church worldwide. One reason is the church's investment in local communities within North Katanga, particularly in the areas of medical care, education, farming and caring for children. In isolated areas of the DR Congo, the inaccessibility of medical care often complicates treatment for those who are ill. The United Methodist
Church has built clinics and hospitals to offer compassionate care and also provides an aviation ministry to ferry seriously ill patients to larger cities. The Church has also built schools to provide affordable education to students of all ages, especially girls who are often unable to go to school. The Kamina Children's Home provides wholistic care and formation to teens orphaned during the country's civil war. At Kamisamba Farm, the church provides a training school that teaches sustainable farming practices while also growing produce and raising pigs that both raise money and help feed local communities. With all it is doing in God's name, it's no wonder The United Methodist Church in North Katanga is growing! Please pray for the people and ministries. Because of them, God's Spirit will move across North Katanga and through you!
