Come early to secure your perfect viewing place and to buy a sausage, cold drink or Zooper Dooper. We will also be selling raffle tickets so bring along your loose change. Our stage this year is on the basketball court. Due to an OH&S review the concert will take place on the basketball court. A back drop has been created and it was deemed the safest area for the students to perform. Bring your picnic chairs and blankets and find a spot to view the concert. Families are able to sit anywhere they wish. Around the basketball court, on the basketball court behind the cones or under the shade of our magnificent oak tree. Remember to bring hats, picnic blankets and chairs for tonight’s concert. Thank you Thank you to everyone involved in making this concert happen. A special thank you and public acknowledgement must go to Katie our wonderful music teacher and performance artist. I am thrilled to announce she has agreed to come back to our little school next year. Thank you for all the amazing work that you have done for us Katie. Help Needed It has been a tough year for some of our families for lots of different reasons. It is great to see many of our families help in lots of different ways to support those who need an extra hand. We currently have a child who will be facing a challenging time over the next few weeks. If any family would like to help donate activity books, puzzles, colouring in books, fuzzy felts or games etc suitable for a 6 year old, I know the family would greatly appreciate it! As we all know it can be a challenge to entertain a child for half an hour when confined to a small area, let alone on a bed for hours on end. We will have a collection box in the office if you are able to help. It is heart-warming to see our school community rally around when one of us is in need. It makes you realise what is important and a reminder not to sweat the small stuff. IMPORTANT DATES: A reminder, the last day of term is Thursday 20 th December. The last assembly for the year will take place on this day where we will say farewell to our graduating students. The SCHOOL OFFICE will close at 1.30pm on Friday, 21st December for the summer break and re-open on Tuesday, 29th January, 2019. Thursday, 31st January, 2019 is the first day of school for all students, Foundation to Year 6. Lost Property There is a large number of unnamed school uniform items in the lost property room, please come and have a look before Wednesday 12th December. Items unclaimed after this date will be placed in the second hand uniform shop. Activity Week What a bustling week it has been with all our students participating in a week long assortment of activities. There have been many photos and positive comments on face book about the fun and teamwork the students and teachers have been having. Thank you to all staff involved in all the hustle and bustle of these amazing activities. Make sure you read the students’ recounts about their adventures and experiences in the next edition of our newsletter. We are nearly at the end of the year so remember to be kind to yourself and others. Have a lovely weekend. Emma Slater Principal
