TWT - Public Space and streetscape City of Hagen Case Altenhagen - image- campaign Initial situation Altenhagen has a very mixed structure of the poopulation. The fluctuation of citizens is very high. Lots of people are moving in and out. The district has less people who live there for a long time. Many citizens complain about the living conditions in Altenhagen although the living conditions are impartialy not bad. Few inhabitants identify with their district. Aim / objections Via an image-campaign with many citizens directly involved the bright sights of Altenhagen shell be pushed in perspective. It is the aim to create a sense of belonging and identification amongst Altenhagen‘s residents. Actions / experiences The citizen‘s office Altenhagen (BüBü) initiated a working group „image“ consisting of active citizens in Altenhagen. The working group „image“ is actively involved in the process of creating an image-campaign. The working group decided to produce three posters and a booklet. - The first poster shows Altenhagen‘s citizens. Nearly 100 citizens of Altenhagen are represented on the first poster and avow themselves citizens of Altenhagen („Wir in AltenHAgen“). - The second poster shows images of selected bright sights in Altenhagen. - The third poster pictures shopowners in front of their shops. - The booklet takes up the poster‘s images and is supplemented by statetments given by residents who stress out the livable and likable points of Altenhagen.
