Speech signal processing is a scientific discipline as well as a technology frontier with immense applications as a scientific discipline, it has a long history and as a technology area, it is intensely explored both by industry and academia. Speech is a very common modality for the communication of various technologies and applications such as speech and speaker recognition, language technologies, speech synthesis, speech enhancement, speech coding, etc. The main objective of this workshop is to train and motivate the participants to learn the basic concepts of Speech Signal Processing and start research and development of applications of Speech Signal Processing Topics covered: Speech Processing: Topics and Challenges Lab on Speech recording and basics Speaker identification using GMMs Matlab demonstration of speaker identification using GMMs Speaker identification in noisy environment

About the Training program:
Speech is a fundamental human activity. It is central to the organization and the development of
human health, personality and intelligence. It is also essential means of interaction within human
groups and their relationship with their environment. Speech signal processing is a scientific discipline
as well as a technology frontier with immense applications as a scientific discipline, it has a long
history and as a technology area, it is intensely explored both by industry and academia.

Inaugural Session:
On 22th
November, first day of the Workshop , the proceedings began with inauguration ceremony,
with the esteemed presence of HOD of ECE Department Dr. G.R.L.V.N Srinivas Raju , along with
coordinator Mr K.Murthy Raju and Resource person Dr.V.Anil Kumar IIIT Hyderabad.
Dr. G.R.L.V.N Srinivas Raju, Head, of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department,
gave the introductory speech about the schedule and features of the Program. Resource Person
gave the Speech related to workshop. Coordinator of this program gave vote of thanks for this

The last session of 2nd
day was the valedictory session. The valedictory function was addressed by Convenor
& and HOD of ECE Department Dr G.R.L.V.N Srinivas Raju , Coordinator Mr K.Murthy Raju,
along with Resource person Dr.V.Anil Kumar IIIT Hyderabad..Resource person shred experiences
about this Workshop. Certificates were distributed by the dignitaries present. The function ended with
vote of thanks by Coordinator Mr K.Murthy Raju, who expressed his gratitude towards all the
dignitaries, participants and all other helping hands, which contributed towards the success of the event.
