posed to a water pressure of almost 140 metric tons per square meter

In just two minutes and 60 seconds, Pipn reaches the surface and for the sev-

enth time, he obtains the title of ‘World Champion in Freediving’

Just like in the famous movie ‘The Big

Blue’ (Luc Besson, 1988), Pipn slips down into the deep blue abyss, with only one breathe of air, silently into the ‘Shaded

Blue’.Below 100 meters (330 feet), his heart

beats only 12 impulses per minute: just enough to survive. Although a ride with his

sled lasts only 2.5 minutes, Pipn is able to

hold his breathe for more than 8 minutes.Doctors and scientists study the man

who dove more than 500 times below 100 meters (300 ft) and had spent more than

33,000 hours beneath the surface of the sea. None else is able to freedive deeper than Pipn: ‘The Human Mammal’

clines in many coastal and

oceanic shark species in the Northwest Atlantic. It has been estimated that, since 1986, hammerheads have declined by

89%, thresher sharks by 80%, white sharks by 79% and tiger sharks by 65%. All re-corded shark species, with the exception of makos, have declined by more than 50% in

Alex Kirkbride decided he wanted “an immense creative challenge”. He set out on a three-year journey across the United

States with his producer and partner Hazel Todd, living together in an Airstream trailer and travelling over 100,000 miles to photograph underwater images from every

state.

founded in Early 2001 and is a non-profit

tax exempt 501 (C) (3) national organiza-tion chartered in the state of Illinois. The purpose of Diveheart is to provide and

support educational SCUBA diving and snorkeling experience programs that are open to any physically impaired child or adult in the hope of providing both physi-

cal and psychological therapeutic value to that person.

Bird's Underwater Manatee Tours are a truly unique expe-

rience which will leave you with great memories for the rest of your life. The following paragraph contains a description of what you can expect on a Florida Manatee Swim with Bird's

Underwater.

When you arrive at the main building you will be shown a

video (filmed in cooperation with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service) which demonstrates how you should behave when you are interacting with manatees in the water. After viewing the video, you may rent a wetsuit and other gear, or

change into the gear you brought with you. Next, you and your Coast Guard Certified Captain will proceed to the dock area and board one of our enclosed pontoon boats, where fresh do-

nuts and coffee are available, free of charge (hot chocolate and juice are also available).

All our boats have changing rooms and toilets. While you are touring Kings Bay in search of manatees, your friendly and knowledgeable Captain will answer any questions you have about the local ecosystem. After the Captain has found a good location, he or she will drop anchor and everyone will qui-

etly enter the water and snorkel with the manatees. The Captain will join you in the water, to supervise your experience and shoot digital quality videos, which you may purchase.

Each Florida Manatee Tour lasts approximately three hours (depending upon a variety of conditions). Your tour may not return until after 11:00 a.m., so if you are staying in a hotel, you should request a late checkout time. Note: Our tour times are from when the

boat embarks until you disembark from the boat, not "shop to ramp" as some services use. If you would rather not deal with the hassle of staying in a hotel, you are welcome to rent one of our Waterfront Vacation Homes. name.

Luke and Rob along with guest host Chantel Shafie travel to

Malaysia to film its demo reel made for TV ! Our

destination...the incredible island of Tioman. We land in

Kuala Lumpur and visit some very famous landmarks and

tourist attractions, from there we fly off to Tioman Island to

discover Island paradise. We hike to remote waterfalls, go

rock climbing, engage in some unreal beach parties... and of

course we dive. If you are looking for a unique dive holiday

and want to do some fun filled activities, you must watch or

World-famous 40 Fathom Grotto is a naturally formed sinkhole located in the heart of north-central Florida’s thoroughbred racing country. It is the only place in the eastern United States where you can train, dive or play in depths of up to 200 feet or more and still: Remain completely in open water, if you choose. Dive year round in calm, fresh water. Be largely unaffected by wind, waves, tides, currents.

It’s no wonder then that dive educators from around the world consider the Grotto to be the Ultimate Training Facility. Geologically, the Grotto is what is known as an in-line sinkhole. Sinkholes form when the earth and rock above an underground river become weakened by the flow of water underneath.40

Fathom Grotto will be playing on channel #14 in August. Come check out this unique place!

Jon Shaw, founder of ginclearfilm, has been involved in the

ocean since birth. Jon was certified as a diver when he was 13,

became commercially trained at age 19 and gained his in-

structor rating by 21. Marion Reef, one of his short films will

be playing on the independent channel # 11

Who Is Dive Zero...Managing Director

Wally SchredlFor the past 18 years, This guy has been a full time Professional Diver, traveling the world, and living in Grand Cayman for over 7 years. Becoming one of the top PADI Plati-num Course Directors on the planet. Wally created and operated a very successful dive

instructor college program in Canada and the Cayman Islands. He's done it all... an accomplished U/W photographer and videographer, Boat Captain, Dive Operations Manager, Free Diver, Spear-fisherman, Shark, Stingray and harbor seal wrestler (he is even known to feed 6ft green morays from his teeth)

Rob started off filming snowboarding and extreme sports in the snowy hills of the southern Albertan Rockies at Castle Mountain Ski Resort. Since then, he has added onto his extreme sports film-ing list with freestyle motocrossing and producing a skateboard video, which sold in 5 different con-tinents across the world. He has now brought his experience of filming and editing for the past 20 years, over to scuba diving. The sport of scuba

diving should be thanking Rob for his creativity and new angles that he has brought to the sport. Robs also a very accomplished underwater photogra-pher as well.

Growing up as a sponsored skateboarder, after high school, Luke decided to change his life com-pletely 180 degrees around. He decided to be-come a scuba instructor. After completing the course, he decided that he would take up under-water filming instead. He came up with the idea of Dive Zero in late 2005, and has worked on it al-most everyday since. The whole idea was to bring to scuba diving, what skateboarding, snowboard-ing and every other extreme sport has - a life-

style. When Luke is not working on Dive Zero, scuba diving, traveling, and getting through everyday scenarios that life brings, he still  manages to find time to skateboard for his sponsors.
