Provides optimal views for inpatients and public spaces. Addresses the need for the existing Hospital to continue to offer services to patients and consumers during construction. Responds to the topography by having a single storey layout on the flattest part of the site. Master Plan unveiled The Master Plan for the Tumut Hospital Redevelopment site has been developed. Staff and community feedback is now being sought until Friday 26 April 2019. The facility will provide a ‘one stop shop’ for residents of Tumut and surrounding districts such as Gundagai, Batlow and Adelong. The Redevelopment will allow Murrumbidgee Local Health District to offer patients and consumers a contemporary model of health care which integrates services from the acute and non-hospital settings such as community health, mental health and drug and alcohol, oral health and renal dialysis. The Plan proposes a single storey facility, located on the building on the highest part of the site to improve access, views and buildability. The proposed services in the Tumut Hospital Redevelopment include: Emergency Department Inpatient Unit including beds for rehabilitation and maternity Maternity Services Operating Theatre Wellness Centre including ambulatory clinics, allied health, oral health, renal dialysis, mental health, drug and alcohol Quiet room for families Clinical support services including a Medical Imaging Unit and Pathology Services Administration and non-clinical support areas.
