The students loved having their families at school and celebrating their work. It was a little crowded, but that is to be expected in a growing school. However we love to see you being involved. We received very positive feedback about the night. ENROLMENTS Places are filling fast for 2019 and we already have received 59 Prep enrolments. A reminder that 2019 enrolment applications need to be submitted to our office by 31 st of July so we can start our preparations for new portables and more staff for next year. JUNE REPORTS Over the weekend, Mrs McDonald and I have read the reports on each child and can confidently say that parents will receive a very comprehensive report on your child’s abilities. Please remember that even if your child is below the expected standard in June, the assessments are based on data collected in May, as writing reports takes a considerable amount of time. There is plenty of time for further progress and growth. STUDENT LED CONFERENCES On Wednesday 27th of June, we have our Student Led Conferences. These conferences are much more than a parent/teacher interview as you get to hear from your child about their learning, view their Learning Journal and celebrate the love of learning with your child. Making this time is so important to your child, so please do not miss out on this opportunity. Sometimes families may want to meet with specialist teachers about their child’s report. This can be done at other times rather than the Student Led Conference day as the main aim is for the child to show their Learning Journal and progress within their Learning community. Have a wonderful week. Kathy Sharp Principal ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL’S REPORT BOOK CLUB Orders for Edition 4 of Book Club have now been submitted and therefore no further orders from this edition will be accepted. ICAS EXAMS This week students enrolled in ICAS exams will complete the Spelling and Writing exam. If your child is away this week and miss their exam we can make it up only if the exam can be administered within two days of the set date. MS NELSON’S REPORTS AND STUDENT LED CONFERENCES Ms Nelson’s Prep B class received their reports on Tuesday due to Ms Nelson’s upcoming wedding and subsequent leave. Ms Nelson will also be conducting her Student Led Conferences this Thursday June 14 th from 1.00pm and 7.00pm. If you haven’t made a time, please do so ASAP through Compass. INTERPRETERS Student Led Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday June 27 th from 10.00am to 7.00pm. Please log into Compass to make a time. To support families who speak English as an addition language, we are offering the opportunity to book an interpreter to support the conference.
