Krishna Tulasi:Also known as black Tulasi. Small leaves with black & green colour. Plant grows upto 3-4 feet. Its stem is black. People worship this variety.

Lakshmi Tulasi: Its stem is white. Plant Grows upto 4-5 feet. women perform puja for this plant. Hindus rear this plant.

Vishnu Tulasi: Plant grows upto 3 feet in hilly & rocky areas. Its leaves are having pleasant aroma. It is a insect repellent. Tribals in hilly region rear this in their houses as a mosquito repellent . It requires little water.

Adavi Tulasi:It is a small shrub. With very strong aroma. Seen in Srisailam, Tirupathy & Talakona forest & hilly areas.

Maruvaka Tulasi:Also known as Maruvam. Used in making garlands with Jasmine, Lily, Rose etc. It is anti lice. Its extract is used in hair oils. In beauty parlours used in AROMA therapy. Even today it is a popular scent.

Rudra Tulasi:It also called as “ Sabja” the seeds expand when put in water & used as summer drink & for constipation. It saves people from Sun stroke.

Nela Tulasi:This is mostly used in Ayurvedic treatment. Hence it is known as treatment Tulasi.

Tulasi is ‘Panacea’ due to its wide applications. It is having rare medicinal effects in certain Cancers where there is no answer

Skin Problems:Tulasi with lemon juice is very effective in variety of skin conditions like scabies, eczema.Stomach Pain in Children:Tulasi juice & dry ginger powder is very effective.

Phlegm:Lakshmi Tulasi juice & honey 2 spoons at a times 3 times a day for 1 week gives good relief. Warts:Maruvaka Tulasi juice applied on warts for 8-12 weeks gives good results

Poison Antidote:Grind dry tulasi root & make pills & put in airtight container use for scorpion bite. Indigestion & Arthritis:Tank handful of tulasi leaves grind them & take with water gives good relief

For Chronic Headaches:Take Karakkaya gandham make a paste with TL and apply on fore head for 40 days. For Yellow scaling on teeth:Burnt TL powder with table salt clean the teeth, they will be sparkling white.

For burning in the stomach:TJ with Maricha powder & Cow ghee for 1 week is best. For Wounds:T juice with turmeric when applied helps in healing. For Piles:T seeds soak in water & take.
