Sheet C-401. Updated Junction Box 1 Type callout from a Type 1 to a Type 2 Junction Box. Make Changes to sheet C-401 with revisions seen on corresponding sheet attached to this Addendum No. 1. 3. Sheet C-452. Updated Detail 2 and Detail 5 on sheet C-452 to correctly identify what type of struure is proposed. Question: Per Sheet G-082, two (2) lighted generator powered runway closure crosses shall be supplied by the Contractor. Per Sheets G-083 & 084, Contractor shall place and maintain airport owned RW Closure X's. Please clarify if the Contractor is required to provide their own X's as part of this project, or if it will be acceptable to utilize ones already owned by the airport Response: It will be acceptable for the Contractor to utilize the existing Airpo owned runway closure X's. Clarifications to the Specifications:
1. 2. Question: Per Sheet C-401, Junction Box 1 at station 12+30.72 shall be a Type 1 JunctionBox. Per sheet C-452, Junction Box 1 at Station 12+30. 72 shall be a Type 2. Please clarifywhich is correct.Response: Junction Box 1 at station 12+30.72 shall be a Type 2 Junction Box. Pleasesee the Clarifications to the Specifications above Change number 1 for revision tosheet C-401.
3. Question: What is the fee that the Contractor will owe per employee to get a SIDA badge?Response: Application fees are as follows:AOA, Hangar, and Event badges - $31.00SIDA and Sterile Area badges - $86.00Replacement badges (lost or stolen) - $50.00Prices are subject to change at any time.Please note that work for this project is within the AOA, however there is no workanticipated to be within the SIDA.
4. Question: Is there a maximum percentage that the Bidder is allowed to bid the Mobilizationand Airfield Safety bid items?Response: The mobilization and airfield safety bid items maximum percentages areup to the Contractor's discretion with the understanding that 25% of the mobilizationwill be paid upon acceptance of all submittals and establishment of Field Office, anadditional 25% shall be paid with 25% or more of the original contract is earned, anadditional 40% shall be paid when 50% or more of the original contract is earned, andthe final 10% shall be paid after final inspection and delivery of all project closeoutmaterials.
5. Question: Spec 156 states that temporary seeding and mulching is not measured and isincidental to Erosion Control Mob. How are the Bidders supposed to Bid the item forEmergency Erosion Control Mobilization without knowing the extent of no-pay BMP's thatcould be required to fix the urgent erosion control issue?Response: Emergency Erosion Control mobilization is utilized on an as needed basis.Cost associated with emergency erosion control mobilization is relative to themobilization required for the initial erosion control items and is up to the Contractor'sdiscretion. The contractor shall monitor all erosion control items daily to ensure allBMP's are installed and operating correctly. If any emergency erosion controlmeasures are required as directed by Engineer, the Contractor shall utilize the biditem "Emergency Erosion Control Mobilization."
6. Question: Drawing C-452 shows a Junction Box Type A and Type 2. The Bid Form has aJunction Box Type 1, with a quantity of Zero, and a Type 2. Please confirm the label andquantities for the Junction Boxes.Response: The bid form showing a quantity of O for a Type 1 Junction Box and aquantity of 2 for a Type 2 Junction Box is correct. The Junction Box Type A detail(2/C-452) on sheet C-452 shall be a precast catch basin with the Type A lid shown onC-452. Please see the Clarifications to the Specifications above Change 2 for revisionto sheet C-452.
