Current users are given the option to renew their existing plots before they are made available to other gardeners. Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District provides irrigation for all Community Garden sites from April through mid-October. • The use of plastic and newspaper as mulch is not allowed. • The gardener provides his/her own equipment (i.e. hoses, sprinklers, tools, etc.). Motorized vehicles and equipment are not allowed in the garden, with the exception of small rototillers. • It is the renter’s responsibility to winterize and maintain a weed-free garden. If you cannot maintain your space, contact Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District at 503/645-6433 so arrangements can be made to have someone else take your place. Gardeners will lose their plot(s), with no refund, if they are not maintained. • Gardens are intended to grow produce and flowers for personal use only. • Please respect other gardeners’ spaces - do not pick vegetables, fruits or flowers that are not yours. THPRD is not responsible for the contents of your plot(s). • Do your part to conserve water. Water before 10 a.m. and after 6 p.m. • Please do not allow children to roam or play in other garden spaces. All pets must be on a leash and pet owners must clean up after their pets. • Tires and rocks will not be allowed at the garden sites. • Green waste box available for communal use. El Distrito de Parques y Recreación Tualatin Hills promueve y brinda
oportunidades para que los residentes cultiven huertas en ocho
de sus parques. Los participantes del programa
de huertas comunitarias cultivan verduras, flores y pequeños frutales.
Pautas para las huertasAgregue agua, sol, y estas pautas sencillas...• Las parcelas para huertas se alquilan por un año
completo, comenzando en octubre. Los usuarios actuales tienen la opción de renovar sus parcelas antes de que éstas se les ofrezcan a otros jardineros. El Distrito de Parques y Recreación Tualatin Hills (THPRD, por sus siglas en inglés) provee riego para todas las huertas comunitarias desde abril hasta mediados de octubre.
• No se permite usar plásticos ni papel periódico como mantillo.
• El jardinero debe suplir sus propias herramientas (mangueras, aspersores, etc.). Los únicos aparatos motorizados permitidos en las huertas son los motocultores pequeños. No se permiten otras máquinas ni vehículos motorizados.
• El inquilino es responsable de preparar la parcela para el invierno y mantenerla libre de malezas. Si no puede mantener su espacio, por favor llame al Distrito de Parques y Recreación Tualatin Hills, al número 503/645-6433, para arreglar que otro tome su lugar. Los jardineros que no mantengan su parcela libre de malezas perderán sus parcelas sin reembolso alguno.
• Las huertas son para cultivar flores, frutas y verduras sólo para uso personal. • Por favor respete los espacios de los demás jardineros. No coseche verduras, frutas
ni flores que no sean suyas. THPRD no se responsabiliza por el contenido de sus parcelas.
• Haga su parte para conservar el agua. Riegue antes de las 10:00 a.m. y después de las 6:00 p.m.
• No permita que los niños se paseen o jueguen en otras parcelas. Todos los dueños de las mascotas deben traerlas con correa y limpiar cuando las mascotas hagan sus necesidades.
• No se permiten los neumáticos ni las piedras en las parcelas.• Hay una caja para residuos vegetales para uso comunitario.
