“Healing Your Spirit: Nurturing You”: a resounding success at
our May 2014 retreat in Balnarring, on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. Here are
some responses received:
Day 1
“Maria Cincotta’s art therapy was fun.
We rummaged through magazines, cut
out pictures and made a meaningful
laminated montage.” General feedback.

Day 2 “Sue Gregory’s Aboriginal bush
teachings and learnings helped us to
connect with the land. It was a lovely
sunny day and we experienced healing
oils, aboriginal songs and sounds and
their tonal effects on the body – as well
as a traditional smoking ceremony.”
General feedback (See information on
Sue’s indigenous healing retreats on
page 7). (Starring Michael Taylor, Vicki
Kinight, Jenny Cameron and Sue herself)
Followed by the Munay-Ki with Gerry,
Virginnia and Jenny ‘gifting’ the rites.
Everyone said they enjoyed receiving the
first 3 Rites of: ‘healing’, the ‘bands of
power’ for protection, and the ‘harmony’
rites. Many said that they experienced a
shift in awareness and consciousness
after, and 6 participants have since gone
on to receive all nine rites following the
retreat. (No photos available so example given
with Gerry passing on the “Bands of Power” rite to
a participant at her healing centre)

Day 3
Started with Trevor Allan, who shared with us the fascinating modality of the ‘Divine Healing Hands’.
He generously provided us with more information by donating two books to all participants. Later in
the morning, he led us into a Divine Healing Hands guided meditation and then offered a remarkable
healing to a member of our group - Jenny Cameron. You can find out what her experience was by

International News Note: The Therapeutic Touch International Association (TTIA) based in the
USA
On 20/3/14 We received an email from Heike Rahn on behalf of TTIA, who are collecting information on how
the process of recognition for QTTP – Qualified Therapeutic Touch Practitioner and QTTT – Qualified Therapeutic
Touch Teacher could happen internationally. She asked- What do you need in your country? Where do you see
problems? How could they be solved? What do you think is a “must” for recognition in your county? What would be
a “would be helpful”?
This second email followed on the same day.
“As Australia is further ahead in their recognition process than other countries, I have different questions I would like
to ask you:
1. How did you get started with TT in Australia? It would be very interesting for the international community to hear your story. If you would be willing to take the time and write it down, I could send your report to the international community and, if you agree, to have it published in the COOP-Connection, the TTIA newsletter.
2. How did you start your network? What were your problems and how did you solve them? 3. How do you handle your process of recognition for QTTP and QTTT? 4. Is there anything else you think is important and TTIA should also consider?”
