What is Menstruation?Menstruation is the periodic discharge of

blood and bloody tissues coming from the

uterus. A girl’s first period is called

“Menarche”.

It signals that she is growing up and her

body is preparing to have a baby some

day.

Menstruation?Yes! It is normal for girls to have it as early

as 9 years of age. The flow may last for

about 3-7 days.

skin where white secretions called

smegma develop.

Odor?

Take a bath as often as possible.

Rinse with water mixed with alum or

tawas.

Apply deodorant to armpits. You can

also mix alum with baking soda and

talcum powder.

Always wear clean undergarments.
