Corner Planning:
Cabinets set 10mm off the wall with spacer batten
TH corner post is 10mm smaller than standard to allow for this.
Wall units line up with base as standard

Installing Floor Units & Battens
All base & tower units are pulled away from the wall by 10mm
2 x 3.2m 10mm Spacer batten supplied with horizontal rail
Fix the 10mm thick batten to the wall using suitable wall fixings (not supplied).
The top of the batten needs to be flush with top of the base unit, which is 875mm off the floor.
Position all units, level and join. Fix the units to the battens using angle brackets.
Note: Wall units do not require battens

Base Units

All Base cabinets are pre-notched for the horizontal trim.
Fit the horizontal trim flush with the front of the cabinet, this will sit 32mm above the carcase.
Seal all raw/exposed edges.
The front rail is positioned behind the cut out.
Use the jig to get the correct cut to fit the horizontal metal trim. The jig has 2 sides, a Standard 30mm router collet or flip the jig to suite a Profile cutter.
Wall unit top panels need to be reduced in depth by 24mm and re-edged with edging tape if adapting for use at base level.
Seal all raw/exposed edges.
True Handleless Guide - Base Units
Some units may need adapting, for example wall units used at base level.
Adapting a Base Unit
7
Measure the length of the Horizontal trim also allowing for any end caps. When cutting the trim it is recommended that an aluminium saw blade is used. Tip: Spray with WD40 to give a better cut.
Deburr the cut profiles using a file or screwdriver. Any rough edges may prevent the end caps from being inserted correctly.
True Handleless Guide - Base Units
For corner situations use the internal & external connecting pieces, shown on page 3.
Fit the end cap at any terminating profiles. Measure the length of the horizontal trim before cutting and deduct 1.5mm for end caps.

Clamp the profile into position and drill holes in the trim profile using a 5mm bit. Drill a hole every 300mm, every other screw should be down into the cabinet side panel. Only drill through the aluminium, do not drill down into the base rail.
Use 40x4 mm screws in the unit sides.
For appliance spaces & against tall panels use the plastic brackets supplied for additional support.
If the Horizontal trim has to be joined, the join should be positioned where unit side panels meet, (if possible). Plastic brackets can be used to secure the join.

All top drawers will be opened by pulling behind the fascia with the aid of the horizontal trim. These drawers should have the stick on buffer pads fitted to the back of the drawer fascia's whereas the push to open drawers do not.
Any subsequent drawers will have an INTIVO Tip-On Push to open mechanism fitted. (see next page)
All True Handleless kitchens will be spec'd with the INTIVO drawer system and not the standard Blum drawer box offer. These will come individually packed.
The drawer fascia brackets for the bottom drawer onlywill need to be re-positioned. Please see image below for where to mark the new holes using a bradawl. All measurements should be taken from the bottom of the fascia up as these do not change regardless of drawer size.

New Bottom Drawer Position
TH drawer side panels have a new drilling.
The new drilling is 57mm up from the bottom, 19mm from the front of the panel and 224mm Centre to Centre. This new drilling is for the bottom drawer only to allow clearance for the INTIVO drawer box
All other drawers are fitted in their standard locations
Note. 900mm drawer runners are identified by an orange section on the runner.

Intivo Drawer Mechanism Strengths:
The Blum Intivo tip-on mechanism is what makes the drawer push to open. These come in 3 strengths depending on the size of drawer it is fitted to. The table below shows which strength to use on which drawerbox.
Each mechanism is coloured differently and has an indicator table to state which strength mechanism you have.
On the right are the 3 strengths which coordinate with the table below.
11
Points to note on Intivo drawer Runners:
Use the Blum distance gauge tool on all INTIVO operated drawers. Place the gauge tool onto the cabinet when the fascia is not fitted and adjust the wheel till the mechanism butts up to the 2.5mm lip.
This correctly sets the drawer 2.5mm from the edge of the cabinet to allow the push to open mechanism to work & line the drawers up correctly. (Do not fit the stick on buffers on push to open drawers)
The tool can also be used when the fascia is fitted but you must use the foot behind the fascia to set the 2.5mm required distance.
600 Drawers have 1 ‘L’ shape bracket fitted in the centre, screw though base of drawer box and into fascia

Double Vertical Rail
Single Vertical Rail
True Handleless Tower side panels are pre-cut for you
Single Vertical Rail - For use between a tower and an end panel - Sits in front of 1 cabinet end- 26mm packer between towers
Double Vertical Rail - For use between 2 towers- Sits in front of 2 cabinet ends- 26mm packer between towers
As with the base units use 10mm Spacer battens to bring the tower units 10mm off the wall to line up with the base units.
Install as below
13
Vertical Profiles:
Screw a spacer batten in at the back of theunit.
Use sticky tape to position the vertical profile and clamp to the tall unit. Screw the profile in place, going through the side of the unit and into the spacer batten.
These instructions show the location & fitting of the vertical trims

Fit the kitchen fascia as standard, but the marking template should be 16mm lower than the norm. This is to ensure that the front can be used as a handle at the top profile.
Slide the dishwasher in and adjust to bringit up against the horizontal trim profile.

End of a run of base units:
External corner post
1 x 596 fascia (F6) Used as décor end panel and scribed into the wall. Leave a 2mm gap between the external corner post and the Fixed Fascia to match the working fascia that comes off the other side of the corner post.
Use edging tape down the spacer between the corner post and fascia as you would when edging the carcase behind a fascia
900mm Island or Breakfast Bar ends:Standard base units used with service void removed.
Wall units on legs on reverse. Top wall unit panel needs to be reduced in depth by 24mm and re-edged with edging tape. re-screwed from sides to allow for the rail. Use the jig to notch out the side panels as with the base sides. Use standard bottom panel.
2 x 396 (F4) fascia's on the end (no cutting required) Fixed
Filler into wall using a cut down fascia. This is important as the profile and depth must be the same as the top will be visible

For deeper hobs or hobs on a 610 worktop, the Base unit front rail can be removed completely and the Horizontal Trim back can be cut down in size.
900 Worktop
XXHob cut out
Hob dimensions will vary depending on hob being installed. Refer to manufactures instructions. On island situations hobs can be set back 85mm from the front edge to avoid the horizontal trim.
Ensure hob is supported by battens around the full perimeter
Hob Position Example
Secure the Horizontal trim using silicone. The rest of the rail is screwed down into the front rail as standard.
85
For Larger sinks/hobs the horizontal trim back can be cut away using a compass/jig saw and metal cutting blade to remove the rear lip.

Set sinks back 85mm to avoid horizontal trim where possibleEnsure sink is supported by battens around the full perimeter.
The cut out for the sink is 85mm back from the front of the worktop to ensure no clash with the horizontal trim
Cut 190mm from the top of the back panel height to clear the sink bowl
Reduce the front rail to 26mm. 26mm is the minimum the rail can go whilst keeping enough material for the horizontal trim to bite into.

Bridging units need to be clad with decor panels due to the off-white cabinet being visible to the underside, therefore the aluminium handle trim will not work as an opening mechanism

Blum piston buffer (SKU 297595) is supplied with the cabinet
Blum drilling jig (SKU 685732) should be used to drill the cabinet . This tool has 2 sides. You should use the 18mm side, align centrally with the cabinet and drill through. The jig will keep the drill bit straight through the cabinet panel.
Only use 1 piston per cabinet, positioned centrally
