PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY Accomplished design professional with extensive experience in Industrial Engineering/Designing, researching and analyzing data for a variety of engineering departments. EXPERIENCE Elementions, Mount Vernon, Ohio (October 2014- Present) Freelance Product Designer

Focused on conceptual designing through strategic innovation. Utilized past experiences to help stream line the product design process. Analyzed trends and social media/networks to guide the outcome of the proposed projects. Rhino and Solidworks were used to create thought provoking parametric shapes and 3D solid models. Created prototypes of conceptual designs to determine feasibility of the proposed projects. Contacted vendors to gain a clear understanding of form fit and function as it pertained projects.

Rolls-Royce Energy Systems, Mount Vernon, Ohio (March 2012 – October 2014) Design Manager – Designer IV

Implemented process improvement techniques to establish a better relationship between Rolls-Royce Energy Systems Inc. (RRESI) and Rolls-Royce Operations India Ltd.

Approved vendor models submitted by design team (Input vs. Output). Verified tasks were released in Teamcenter and SAP for fabrication and purchasing. Created and implemented new procedures and standards per RRESI input. Sound judgment, best engineering practices, and RRESI standards were used to create 2D detailed drawings, bills

of material and 3D models of specified parts and sub-assemblies for shop use and documentation. Created 3D models based on rough sketches from engineers and or vendor supplied 2D drawings to import into

Unigraphics (NX7.5) for form, fit and function. Utilized Six Sigma principles, Project Management and Root Cause Analysis to determine issues in the current

design and manufacturing process along with cost and weight reduction. Kellogg Brown & Root, Kirkuk, Iraq (January 2009 – August 2011) Engineering Assistant

Updated site civil engineering drawings for commercial and military facilities using in support of “Operation Iraqi Freedom.”

Applied engineering standards, techniques, and procedures to all assignments using AutoCAD and Solid Works to create 3D models, 2D drawings and bills of material list for shop and construction works.

Assisted senior civil engineers on design proposals for make shift airport terminals, building support frame structures, canal bridges, and over spill containment units.

Regularly conducted forensics engineering studies on damaged structures and presented corrective actions and preventive measures to senior engineers using AutoCAD to create 2D drawings.

Regularly presented design proposals (AutoCad, SolidWorks) to senior project engineers as a continuous improvement effort based on requests and current/past projects.

The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (April 2005 – December 2008) Tool Room Clerk

Assisted faculty and students in the proper use of equipment and software (AutoCad, SolidWorks, Rhino). Conducted safety training on pneumatic/power/hand tools, machinery and shop fabrication materials. Followed all OSHA regulations. Developed models and designs from conceptual input to generate detailed mechanical drawings using AutoCAD,

SolidWorks and Rhino. Used a Modela MDX-500 milling machine and Dimension SST 3D Printer for rapid prototyping. Utilized soldering iron to secure electrical contacts and performed multi-meter checks for electrical continuity and

voltage as needed on selected projects. Double Click to see Full Resume
