Climate data (Malaysia)

Has a tropical rainforest climate

As Malaysia is near the equator, its monthly sunshine hours stay fairly consistent throughout the year.

Climate Data (cont.)

Additionally, as Malaysia doesn’t have distinct seasons, monthly mean temperatures stay mostly constant throughout the year.

Interesting information

Did you know?

Trees in a tropical climate often have no visible growth rings. This is due to the lack of extremes (summer and winter), which thus allows them to grow in a similar way all year round. Thus, the difference between dry and wet seasons is too subtle to make a distinct mark.

Some trees, however, do have growth rings. The “ringless” Miliusa velutina tree from Thailand actually has rings, just invisible to the naked eye.
