MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
Dear Valued Member,
Welcome to the Second Edition of our Troon Abu Dhabi Newsletter.
February was fantastic month for us. The Abu Dhabi Pro-Am brought in 25 teamswith players from around the world to compete across our three facilities. Wewitnessed an exciting finish to the Tournament with our very own members, DaraPaulsen and Blanca Rivollier, forming part of the winning team with Steve Halland Team Professional Joe Heraty. The winning professional for the individualformat was Robbie Busher after a fantastic final round of gross 66.
The month of March brings more exciting events and tournaments to the threeGolf Clubs. Yas Links will welcome Ladies European Tour Professionals for TheLadies Open on the 6th and 7th of March. Our Troon Family Golf Weekend willalso take place on the same weekend so we sincerely hope you will be able tojoin us. Following the Ladies Open, we will have our annual Gary PlayerInvitational at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club on Sunday the 8th of March.
We are proud to announce that SBGC has officially received recognition inEnvironmental Planning from the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program forGolf Courses. The agronomy team has been working hard on this achievementfor the past few years. The ultimate goal is to preserve and enhance theenvironmental quality of the course which acts as the home to hundreds of
migratory bird species and everyone’s favorite fellow members- the gazelle!
