An interdental brush cleans between the teeth, where a tooth-

brush does not reach. Use daily as a complement to your regular

toothbrushing to keep gums and teeth healthy.

TePe’s wide assortment of interdental brushes offers an option

for everybody. The brushes are available with a choice of handle

lengths, angles and filament texture. To fit narrow and wider

interdental spaces, they come in several colour coded sizes.

All sizes and models have plastic coated wire for safe use.

1. Insert the brush gently between your teeth. Look in the

mirror for easier use. Do not force the brush into a space,

choose a smaller size if the brush is too big.

2. Move the brush full length back and forth a few times.

3. Rinse the brush in water after use. Replace it when the

filaments become worn.

Patient guide

The areas underneath the artificial gums should

be cleaned as debris can accumulate here caus-

ing problems. The Implant/Ortho and the Interspace brushes are

designed for cleaning around and under implants.

The brushes can be used to clean from both the

outside and the inside of the mouth.

The Interdental Brush efficiently cleans the sides

of the implant. You may have to bend the wire

into a curve to aid access under the artificial

gums. Select the largest brush size that will fit

comfortably into the space without forcing it.

Over dentureClean around the abutment post with either the

Interspace Brush, which has a tapered brush tip,

or with the Compact Tuft™ with its dome-

shaped tuft. Use an interdental brush under

the connecting bar.

Single Tufted BrushesA single tufted brush is ideal for precision cleaning of areas

where it is difficult to reach. TePe Compact Tuft™ has a dome

shaped tuft. TePe Interspace™ has a slim tapered tuft and the

brush tip can be replaced. Choose between x-soft (red),

soft (yellow) or medium (white) filaments.

Removable Appliances

Removable appliances require cleaning after every meal as do

your teeth! Rinsing the plate after eating, under cold running

water is important as the plate and wires will otherwise hold

food debris and plaque next to your teeth, this can lead to

cavaties. Plaque will form on your appliance in the same way as

it does on your teeth. Your dental care professional will advise

you on suitable products to help keep your brace clean but

brushing with a standard toothbrush, without paste, is often all

that is required.

TePe Implant Care

Braces placed on the inside of the teeth can be cleaned with the

angled brush.

TePe Interdental Gel

with FluorideTePe’s fluoride gel strengthens and protects

your teeth against cavities. Use an angled

brush or an interdental brush to apply the gel

on your teeth. To make the best use of it, do

not rinse after use. It is a good idea to apply

the gel before going to sleep.

TePe Multifloss

The Multifloss has a thick, spongy part for

cleaning around your braces and a regular

floss part for use between the teeth.
