Bible Day Trip
See the St. John’s Bible Monday, October 23

a group from Jamestown to Moorhead to
view Illuminating the Word: The Saint
John’s Bible. The cost is $30 per person
including transportation and lunch
for the first 14 people to sign up.
(Additional people are welcome but you
may need to provide your own
transportation.)

New Pew Cards The new yellow pew
cards replace the friendship register
and the prayer request cards. If you
are new to Trinity, please fill out the
guest information on the card and place
it in the offering plate. If you are commun-
ing or if you have a prayer request, a
concern or a thanksgiving, we ask that
you also use the yellow pew cards and
place them in the offering plate.

Trinity is holding a book fair!
Through Sunday, Oct. 15, A book
fair will be held in the Gathering Space.
You can look through books that can
help children connect with God and
books about Martin Luther, Lutheran
theology, and how Lutheran and Catho-
lic communities are observing the 500th
anniversary of the Reformation.
You can order and pay for the books
you like at reduced prices then pick up
your order in early November.

parenting class will
be offered at Trinity
Lutheran Church from
6:00–8:00 p.m. on
Thursdays, Sept. 21 to Oct. 26. Attend to
learn new techniques and strategies for
creating positive behaviors, gain an
ability to respond to challenging behav-
iors with intent and purpose, and
create everyday habits that reveal the
greatness in children. The course is
sponsored by the ND Dept. of Human
Services, Children & Family Services
Division and NDSU Extension and is
offered at no charge. To register call

Adult Catechism Class By Heart ~ Conversations with
Martin Luther’s Small Catechism
Martin Luther wrote the Small Catechism
for parents to use as instruction for
children in the home. It covers the
Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer,
Baptism, Holy Communion and the 10
Commandments.
Our study time will be on Sundays
in the Fellowship Hall at 9:45
a.m., for seven consecutive Sundays.

Sunday Dinner for Missions.
A Sunday Dinner will be held at Trinity
on September 24 with proceeds benefiting
the Central African Republic Synod
(our sister synod) and the Lutheran World
Relief Quilting Project. A presentation
will be given by the Synod’s Associate
with the Bishop, Jakelle Cornell, about
her 2016 visit to the Central African
Republic.
On the menu: BBQ pork, chicken,
scored potatoes, sunshine carrots,
salad, homemade rolls and pie.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $6
for children 12 and under. Tickets
are available in the church office or in
the Narthex today. Tickets must be
purchased by this Thursday, Sept 21.
Lutheran Disaster Relief is providing
relief to people affected by recent
hurricanes. Your donation helps. Please
