    TRIBECA BALL

  • Founded in 1982 by Andy Warhol and other influential artists, collectors and patrons, the New York Academy of Art trains talented, emerging artists in traditional skills that serve as powerful tools in the creation of vital contemporary art. It is the first graduate school in the US to focus on the human body and widely recognized worldwide.

The New York Academy of Art promotes the development of each student’s personal vision by building upon the enduring traditions of figurative painting, drawing and sculpture. Its distinguished faculty, visiting critics, lecturers and master class instructors include renowned artists Eric Fischl, Jenny Saville, Will Cotton and Vincent Desiderio.

The Academy hosts a robust program of lectures, critiques and panel discussions, providing access to some of the world’s most prominent visual artists, writers, critics and scholars. Through exposure to artists’ opinions, motivations and working methods, these programs allow students to gain constructive feedback and insight into artmaking.
