MAP-21 Section 1119

Section 1119 of Map-21 authorizes the establishment of the tribal safety program by setting aside not more than 2 percent of the funds made available under the tribal transportation program for each fiscal year. The funds are to be allocated based on an identification and analysis of highway safety issues and opportunities on tribal lands.

April 15 * Successful applicants will be notified of funds to be received, unsuccessful applicants notified and fund distribution process initiated.

April 19 Issue Call for Projects in the Federal Register June 14 Tribe submits application to the FLH TTPSF Coordinator July 12 Review Committee completes review and ranks applications

July 26 * Successful applicants will be notified of funds to be received, unsuccessful applicants notified and fund distribution process initiated.
