Incomparable Top of the Range:Specialised and “made to measure”

Open and rocky ground, orchards on hillsides and plains, huge vineyards under awnings and on terraces: The TRG,the biggest and most powerful tractor belonging to the Ergit Series, is a new sort of tractor, specialised, ”made tomeasure” and multifunctional.

Compact dimensions, extremely narrow turning circle, exceptionally powerful engine combined with constant tractionand total safety mean that it is well suited to all types of terrain and capable of coping with unevenness and roughness,in all weather conditions throughout the entire year.

Reversible drive and elevated ergonomics make the task at hand easier by noticeably reducing the operator’s fatiguewhile increasing average operational time with a consequent saving of time and energy.

The TRG can quickly and easily change a large number of tools and pieces of equipment thereby enabling it to carryout a wide variety of tasks: ploughing on hills, crop spraying, fruit collection, barn maintenance, road maintenance,taking care of parklands, forestry, building sites and much more besides.

Multifunctional:many tractors in one

Designed to satisfy the needs of agriculturists with specialised crops, especially those in rows, the fact is that theTRG is also a multifunctional tractor capable of carrying out a range of activities.

Modifying it is simple: the integrated system which is made up of power lift-hydraulic system-PTO allows for therapid exchange of tools and pieces of equipment, which may be on the front and rear or even on bothsimultaneously; If necessary different tyres can be fitted, the drive direction can be chosen via RGS™ thereversible drive system and the TRG does the rest.

It is amazing to see it working to an extremely high standard in any type of environment and on every type ofterrain: the combination of exceptional agility and good engine power with equipment such as the cuttingmachine, sprayer, shredder, fork lift, front loader, rear excavator, plough, trailer, mower, side arm, snow blower,just to mention the most commonly used tools, gives the operator, situation after situation, the sensation of havingnot just one but many different tractors.

The System known as ACTIO™ consists of a powerful,steel section which forms an integral part of the axle,which houses both a front and rear transmission andhas an articulated joint which allows for longitudinaloscillation of a good 15 degrees.

Essentially with ACTIO™the TRG acts as a single unitmade up of two completely independent tractors of thesame mass and dimension which oscillate independentlyof each other following the contours and differentgradients of the terrain, thereby maintaining constantstability and grip.

With its overhanging engine the total weight of the tractorcan be redistributed - 60% of its weight on the front axleand 40% on the rear one. Ideal balance which becomesperfect when rear equipment is fitted: 50% on the frontand 50% on the rear.

The ACTIO ™ system provides for the use of four largewheel drive: on the TRG the rear wheels are slightlybigger than the front ones; the constant grip of the tyreswith the ground due to the longitudinal oscillation allowsthe engine to ground all its power with consequentadvantages in terms of productivity and safety.

Steering:accurate and tight

The TRG is a tractor with a short wheel base and its accurate steering with itsextremely tight turning circle allows it to get amongst rows of crops rapidly.

By disengaging the front axle and using the steering brakes the turning circle isreduced to a minimum, and is improved further by the “superbend effect”: thefront wheel on the inside of the bend, due to the geometry of the steering arms,independently increases its own steering angle thus eliminating any problemregarding vehicle locking.

The hydraulically servo-assisted steering wheel is sensitive and assures greataccuracy of manoeuvre and rapid disengagement in all situations: on slopes, withtransverse speeds, in difficult situations, amongst rows of crops.The minimum internal turning circle is 1850 mm (72,8 in) while the external is3200 mm (126 in).

ADVANTAGES• Articulated homokinetic joints = tight steering without wheel locking;• Disengagement of front axle = less space is needed for manoeuvrewithout damaging the ground;

"GROUP ONE" HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

With the RGS system the Ergit TRG inverts the drive direction in 5seconds. It is sufficient to release the block on the driver seat to makethe monogroup, which consists of the seat-steering wheel-dashboard-pedal board, rotate through 180 degrees.The result is amazing: it not only does it offer a different field of visionbut also the tractor’s operational advantages increase, because withjust one tractor, the TRG, you can do many things well in very little time.The RGS system plays an integral part of the tractor’s multifunctionality,it simplifies the task at hand, increases accuracy and quality anddramatically reduces any stress to the operator.We really can say: 5 seconds changes your life

The TRG ergonomics focus on achieving tangible results interms of less operator fatigue-greater productivity.First and foremost its efficient, streamlined design allows it toeasily penetrate the crops, guarantees easy access, providesmore space for the foot board, protects and surrounds theoperator, and allows for rapid inspection.

The driver’s seat and cab are positioned on a perfectly sealedplatform which is “suspended” on Silent Block bearingswhich counteract against noise and vibrations and whichreduce shocks while the tractor is moving.

The driver’s seat is positioned at the tractor’s central point ofoscillation: shaking and transverse movements are thereforereduced to a minimum and even after many hours of workthere is no sensation of tiredness.

The instrument panel is amongst the best and is easy to read:there is a screen which by day is antireflective and back lit by

night, an “on-off” information system (only the functions in useappear on the display), a digital speedometer and rev-counterfor the PTO. All the elecrohydraulic controls are push buttonand near to hand.

With its simple design, streamlined and devoid of sharp edges,the “Super Comfort” gets between the narrowest rows of cropswithout damaging plants in blossom or fruit. Even the sealsand zips lie flat against the cab.Its external dimensions are much reduced but its internalcomfort is comparable to that of a car.All the windows can be opened, while the evenly distributed,forced ventilation produces the effect of internal pressurisation.Air coming in is purified by large filters, which can be carbonon request*.Air conditioning comes from a powerful system run on theecological fluid R134A which can cool the environment evenwhen the engine is running at a very low rpm; the centralheating comes from a system which is capable ofcounterbalancing very severe temperatures.Aboard the “Super Comfort” noise levels are well below thelegal limits.The field of vision in both drive directions is perfect.

Its low centre of gravity, grip, power, execution speed,solidity, even its design all contribute to the TRG being anextremely safe tractor.The benefit of the ACTIO chassis keeping the centre of gravitylow gives the tractor maximum stability even on very steepslopes: in fact in critical situations such as when the vehiclestalls or when it loses grip the vehicle moves laterally in orderto avoid rolling over. Furthermore, the ample centraloscillation guarantees the wheels perfect grip on all types ofrough or sinking ground and consequently constant tractionand optimisation of the power going to the ground.The TRG has a powerful, integral braking system with internaloil bath disks which have a hydraulic control which does notsuffer from wear and tear and does not need to be adjusted.The braking system is integral and while braking the tractorremains perfectly stable even with the front axle disengaged.This allows, amongst other things, homologation for speeds upto 40 Km/h (25 mph). The front brake disengagesautomatically with the use of the steering brakes in order to

reduce the turning circle to a minimum in confined spaces.Again, the short wheel base and tight steering allow rapiddisengagement in all situations; many available speeds andtherefore a minimum gap between one and another ensureoperational continuity in all situations; the rear draft andposition control lift which determines the position of theequipment to the exact millimetre along with the load to theengine, allows the vehicle to follow the contours of the terrainperfectly and also stops any dangerous skidding even whenloaded with very heavy tools and pieces of equipment; theelectohydraulically controlled differential gear lock, which canbe on just the rear or on both axles according to the situation,rules out dangerous sliding and affords the tractor with superbtraction. The roll-bar and cab frame, which are bothhomologated to carry extremely heavy loads, along with thecentral drive position, which totally protects and surroundsthe operator, combined with the design feature of having nosharp edges completes the total picture of the TRG’s activeand passive safety systems.

The hydraulic system from “group two” [F] is independent ofthe one from “group1” which operates the hydroguide systemand the electrohydraulic commands.The basic 3 lever system [G] guarantees the functioning ofequipment with hydraulic engines and jack movements evenwhen used simultaneously. It is made up of 3 distributors: onedouble effect connected to the rear, one double effect withfloating position with stopping lever connected to both the frontand rear, one simple effect connected to the rear and oneoutlet for returning oil.The basic standard configuration is made up of 6 quickcouplings on the rear and two on the front.

The front ancillary hydraulic system* [H] with its electroniccontrol is made up of one simple effect distributor with capacityregulator, an outlet for returning oil and two double effectdistributors.This system is used with equipment such as cutting machines,pruning machines, binding machines and shredders etc.To increase its efficiency it is possible to fit an oil coolingsystem from “group 2” (power lift-PTO).Numerous configurations can be achieved, up to 10 quickengagement [I], front, hydraulic outlets.

The TRG’s completely independent PTO [L] is available in twospeeds: 540 rpm and 540E (750 rpm).As standard, the PTO is synchronised with the speeds of thegearbox which can be set while the vehicle is in motion andthis manoeuvre is indispensable when in critical situations withtractor and trailer.The PTO’s shaft is type ASAE 1 3/8 and is the same for allspeeds.

ADVANTAGES• PTO shaft comes fitted with special chamfers =easy engagement of cardan shaft.

• Speed 540E (750 rpm) = notable fuel saving• PTO is synchronised with the speeds of the

gearbox which can be set while the vehicle isin motion = ideal for using tractor-trailers andother equipment.

"GROUP TWO" HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

The total system made up of the power lift- hydraulicsystem-PTO [A] means that the TRG can use a vast number ofdifferent pieces of equipment which may be fitted on either thefront or the rear of the tractor and can also be very large insize.The power lift is a vertical cylinder monogroup with a 3 pointhitch with quick release catches; its pump and hydraulicsystem are autonomous.The electronic* [B] rear draft and position control lift withadjustable sensitivity and position is mixed and is fitted withpush button controls for the memorisation of the maxium liftingposition, the three point quick release lift and for the hydraulicblock of the lift for transport on the road. Furthermore, acontrol board is situated on the outside of the cab.The electrohydraulic movements of the vertical tension rod andtop link* [D] make adjustment of the driver position fast andeasy, while the slider hook* [E], which is a trailer hook withquick vertical adjustment, allows the height of attachment ofthe trailing equipment to be optimised.

The front power lift [C] allows two tasks to be carried outsimultaneously. For example: front mower with rear cropsprayer (orchard), front cutting machine and rear milling cutter(vineyard), front snow blade with rear gritter (roadways inwinter). The front quick release catches can be easilyremoved in order to allow the equipment to be directlystirruped to the chassis.

Electrohydraulically controlled, front PTO* [C] (1000 rpm)with its progressive engagement and safety switch does notneed any maintenance.All the tractors from the Ergit Series have the possibility to befitted with the power lift and front PTO even after purchase.

The PTO clutch has electrohydraulic controls [N] and progressiveengagement with a safety switch which prevents the accidentalactivation of the engine when the PTO is on. It is made up of 9synthesised oil bath disks and doesn’t need any maintenancewhatsoever.

ADVANTAGES• Less engine load effect during engagement• Less stress to the PTO shaft• No effort required by the operator• Reduction in running costs

The electrohydraulically controlled differential locks [O] can beon just the rear or alternatively on both axles: by using the rearlock the possibility of dangerous slip is prevented whilst thesteering remains free therefore enabling the path to be corrected;by using both locks simultaneously maximum traction is obtained.

The electrohydraulically controlled [P] disengagement of thefront axle is useful for reducing the turning circle withoutdamaging the soil and when running at road speeds. It providesfor less wear and tear on the tyres, lower fuel consumption andless stress on the steering system. Even with the disengagementof the front axle the breaking system remains integral on all fourwheels.

The TRG comes with a choice of three with a power range of 87and 95 HP (TRG 9400 and 10400). It is a direct injection, dieselengine which incorporates the most advanced combustion andinjection systems which produces extremely high quality fourwheel drive right from very low revolutions. It has a very safeand durable engine with low fuel consumption; its maintenanceis cheap and easy [M] with its parts always being repairable.It is an environmentally friendly engine equipped withintercooler and EGR which was designed in full accordance withthe CEE “PHASE 3A” law and is also compliant with Europeanand the American EPA and CARB laws regarding exhaustemissions.Noise levels have been reduced to the bare minimum.

• Tunnel crankcase in a single cast iron structure,high thermodynamic efficiency = compactengine and a reduction in tractor size.

The TRG has a large, sensitive clutch which doesn’trequire any adjustment due to the fact that the hydraulicactivation makes up the slack which comes about throughusage.The TRG’s gear box with its helical shaped gears has 32speeds, 16 forward and 16 reverse. In addition it has asynchronised inverter which allows the drive direction to beinverted even when the tractor is in motion.

ADVANTAGES• Synchronised gear box with helical shaped

gears = longer life span of the transmissioneven with frequent speed changes; nolocking during gear changes; low noise levels,wide speed range in logical sequence.

The electohydraulically controlledHI-LO system* which can be engagedwhile the vehicle is loaded and atalmost any revolution, allows for a 20%reduction of set speeds and to thereforehave 32+32 speeds. It is made up oftwo multiple clutches each with ninesynthesised oil bath disks.The electrohydraulic engagement ofone clutch automatically disengages the other one which iscarried out by a series of mechanical springs.

ADVANTAGES• Many speeds available = better use ofpower; reduction in the speed intervals ofone gear and another; constant operation inall situations; lower fuel consumption;reduction in running costs.

• Two multiple clutches = a clutch is alwaysengaged which ensures that thetransmission is always connected to theengine, even when turned off; no need foradjustment at any point of the clutch’s lifespan.
