• Fully backwardly compatible with v 3.5. (3.5 XML files will load under 3.6)

• New data elements & new codes will require the vendor to update the XML extract program.
• The City of the requesting campus added to the Inbound Request Screen.
• New Broadcast Message appears on login
• Transaction Report – faster performance

• Warning messages on upload have been dropped for fields that do not apply to all students .
• New federal ethnicity and race codes are required in 2010-2011 for students enrolled since 2009-2010.

• Old Ethnicity codes will still be reported for students who graduated or withdrew prior to 2009-2010.
• The old ethnicity value is described as “Ethnicity Code” , XML name “Race” on page 2.30 of the TREx Data Standards.

Indicates a student's initial enrollment in a school in the United States in grades 7 through 12 was as an unschooled asylee or refugee per TEC Section 39.027(a-1).

• Course Category – 2 codes changed to align with the AAR Minimum Standards.
ECFE Economics /Free Enterprise (was EC and FE)
CTE Career Technical Education (was CT)
• The vendor extract must be able to populate all data elements in the schema.
• There are 12 mandatory data elements that are enforced by the XML Schema. The XML file will not load if these fields are not populated.
